I've given it 5 stars not because it's a luxury spa but because it's good for what it is, a basic roadside motel. Sure, the building is old but the rooms are clean and have modern accessories, the bathroom fixtures are new and the window AC kept the room cool in the hot weather. We found the beds very comfortable.A friendly owner to greet you, BBQs available if you want and a play area for the kids. We didn't get the chance to visit the river this time but we did enjoy sitting outside the room in the evening. If you can, contact the motel directly to book a room and Dan will look after you.
Dan was amazing. He was an excellent host. We needed a night to stay after dropping our daughter off at CampNorthway and got to enjoy a bit of no fuss nature by staying in one of the luxury tents. We used one of Dan’s canoes as the property backs onto a river that connects with the nearby lake and further river system. We also went for a couple of hikes in the park.The tent had good quality linen, a bathroom, running water and a coffee machine. Yes, it is just off of Highway 60 so you do hear traffic, but was otherwise perfect all around and we were able to squeeze in a mini vacation last minute at a reasonable price. This place is especially good for all us families who are busy getting our kids ready for camp and want a place to stay nearby
This motel is convenient to Algonquin Park and Huntsville. Our room had kitchenette, comfortable bed with duvet and a decent bathroom. The motel is old, not modern at all, but had all the things you need for a comfortable stay.
Comfortable motel located close to Algonquin and other attractions. The site and rooms are well maintained. The friendly and hospitable owner helped us with various things.
The property was located in a serene setting and was clean and maintained.The owner, Dan was kind and friendly and setup bonfires for us. He offered a discounted stay for an additional day which we took happily.Am planning to visit again this summer.
