This was our first year as boat owners. We were fortunate enough to get a slip at Riverside Marina. The location is outstanding. Armando's is directly out front and the Marina itself is located right next to the Windsor Yacht Club. The marina has a beautiful gazebo located right on the waters edge with two BBQ's and lots of patio seating for events. The members of the marina are extremely helpful and willing to help you out with any boating questions. Finally, Scott Salter is the manager of the marina. He maintains the grounds like they were his own. He set all my dock lines up to start the year and even helped me to dock my boat for the first month until I was comfortable. On top of that he fixed several issues with my boat that I was unsure of. It is not uncommon for Scott to re-adjust the marina members dock lines and other issues that arise when we are away. I cannot say enough about this marina and Scott.
Best Marina - Located in East Windsor at the mouth of Lake St. Claire and the Detroit River. Previously Owned and operated by the Windsor Port Authority, it was taken over through a lease arrangement by the Windsor Yacht Club as their extended East basin. Restaurants available within walking distance; Armando's, Lilly Kazillies, Riverview and for guests the Windsor Yault Club. Our Waterfront ghezibbo affords view of the waterfront to the West, North and East. Protected by Peche Island, Located in between the Windsor Yault Club and the City Lakefront Marina boat ramp & gas available. Central to "emergency marine services" by the R.C.M.P. Marine, Windsor Police Marine and Canada's Towe Boat who are affiliated with the U.S. Town Boat Services.
I have had my boat docked at this marina for several years. The gentleman that runs the marina is very organized and keeps the marina running like any well run ship. Very clean kept safe with yearly upgrades. The other people that are at the marina are all kind and always free to offer a hand or a smile. I really like having my boat at Riverside Marina.
I've docked at the marina on and off for 30 years. The facility has never been in better condition. It's clean, safe and filled with great boats and fine people. Much of the credit goes to the Marina Manager Scott Salter. He runs a tight ship! If you need a boat well in the future....this is where you want to be.
Riverside Marina is a great marina to keep your boat. It's in a great location next to Armandos and Lilly Kazilly's. Scott treats the marina like it's his own. Often times, he tightens and replaces ropes to secure the boats to the dock and is willing to lend a hand anytime he's asked. Scott maintains constant communication with the patrons informing everyone about local sail boat races, inspection notices, weather etc. It's an awesome marina! Kinds Regards,
It was beautiful last night. The birds were having a feast on minnows and there was water rather than ice. I suspect perch would be biting soon, if not already.
Stopped by the Marina this morning to check out the water/ice. Much to my surprise the river was free of ice flows. Yee haw.... Should be able to launch the boat and get back on the river to do vertical jiggin' for some 'eyes. Can't wait. The marina itself is usually always clean and the staff, when it's open for the season, are normally very personable. The reason for the 4 star review is that there is only two boat ramps but other than that, it's a great place to launch if you plan on fishing/boating on the east end of the river or on Lake St Clair.
Very nice place there are monthly parties where everyone is invited. Docks and property are impeccable. Private gated parking keeps your car safe. Scott the manager does a fantastic job keeping an eye on everything.
Great marina. Family, friendly atmosphere. Great private parking close to your boat, well maintained docks, always improving, and the manager always available to help or advise. Very lucky to have a well here as it’s a great marina.
Great marina, nice friendly people, clean, awesome and attentive staff Scott. I have thoroughly enjoyed keeping my boat there. Can not say enough good things about Riverside Marina.
