Our experience was … okay, given the problems with staffing and lack of customers. Sitting on the deck was delightful! The beer and wine we enjoyed but… don’t rely upon the regular menu posted online or even the stapled paper menu I saw here. They have far fewer choices. After not being able to order several things on their “COVID revised” menu our dinner of Burger Platter and Jillian Salad were no better than Mehhh. I’ll give it to the servers for putting up with what they have to offer. Under normal circumstances I think this would have been great. Just not now. Even as a tourist, I hope they return to normal soon!
16 of us ate at this restaurant as we were all staying at the adjoining hotel. This was one of the worst restaurant experiences we have had as five of us were sick most of night with stomach issues. The food took almost 2 hours after ordering to hit the table, anything deep fried seemed over cooked and there was only one server working. After hearing some other complaints from another party it was clear that complaints were going on def ears. If someone from this hotel or restaurant reads this ... make some changes!!
Pretty shady. Walked in for dinner. Waited about 5 min, and no one came. Peaked around the corner and the place was empty except a couple of guts at the bar. Kind of weird for 630pm ...Service: 1/5
Our room was not ready and we had to wait an extra 30 minutes after arriving so the gentleman at the front desk offered us to go into the restaurant for a beer on the house as an apology. After driving over 8 hours we were pretty hungry so we decided to order a burger and a poutine. Food arrived within 15 minutes of ordering and was amazing. The burger was tasty and hot, the fries were perfectly cooked and I couldn't get enough of them and the poutine was so big and cheesy with loads of real bacon on top! To top this all off the service from the waitress was nothing less than perfect. She was personable, friendly and knew how to do her job well. Great place, now all they need is a breakfast option!
Had breakfast after staying at adjoining quality Inn. Fast service, but only one waitress. Took only about 5 minutes to get my eggs and bacon. Coffee is free with breakfast until 11am. Nice view of the river with big open glass windows and a patio. I'd come back but it's a 7 hour drive from London.
Flat beer with bugs it in. Terrible food. Dirty tableware/glassware seriously, one glass came out with a lipstick mark on it. Dingy atmosphere. Ice cream came as soup. Would never recommend. Only saving grace was friendly servers but you can get that anywhere.
I wish I could give a 0 star. We went for lunch here this weekend. A reservation was made because we were a group of 16. Only 13 of us ate. Some of the family had to leave when we realized that our food wasn't going to show up any time soon. 3 people were served in a reasonable amount of time with the last 3 being served about 2 and a half hours after we arrived. The server was extremely overwhelmed from the moment we walked and she told us that she would be only serving half of the table. The same wrong dishes came out three times, being called something different each time to see if anyone ordered it. When it FINALLY came time to sort the bill out the server asked if we had asked the second server for our meals free. We said no but that would be kind, considering the disaster. She said how about 10% off then? We did end up with a discount but two wraps with salad, a pasta that should have came with a salad that was never served and a disgusting soup and sandwhich was still $58.00. What a disgrace.
I'm being gracious with the rating. Only reason is a 3 is because the service here was excellent. Very clean, and a nice pub environment. However the burger was just .... So so bland. Really left me disappointed
The service was great, we were the only table as it was later. The food was exceptional from start to finish. The art of the spinach dip is dying, but here they are keeping it alive, so good. Portions are huge and very tasty.
Can’t stress enough, DO NOT EAT HERE. My family was excited to finally have lunch together after Covid so we went for Mother’s Day. Food took over 2 hours and all meals were inedible. Soup and sandwich took almost 3 hours. Part of our party had to leave snd go to a drive thru with their kids because they couldn’t wait any longer. I could write a novel about what went wrong but we even had to return a glass of water as it smelled like a mouldydish cloth. We left about 3/4 of the food we ordered and wasted a beautiful day waiting on food and then our bills. Oh ya and we were the only ones there when we walked in. Don’t waste your time or money at this establishment.
