Super duper helpful staff with the sweetest dog greeting you at the door I had so many questions and they were all answered amazingly. My betta boy will be very happy in his new set up!
Nice variety of both fish and reptiles. Friendly staff and reasonably priced. They quarantine their fish before selling, so the chances of bringing home a disease/fungus are minimal. Everything is clearly marked and labeled.nnFor perspective, in a two week period, I bought four fish from Riverscape and six from Petsmart. Of the ones from Petsmart, one fish died within two hours of bringing it home, one lasted a week, one lived 14 days, and I returned one after five days because it was clamped when I bought, and it declined even further in isolation. All four from Riverscape are still going strong.
I had gone into this store for the first time about 6 months ago, looking for some rare and beautiful colored fish for my new tanks, Cynthia was beyond knowledgeable and answered every question with Grace and patience. I highly recommend riverscape aquarium! Not only for their excellence in customer service but for their excellence in the care and love they provide to every animal that comes through the doors.
My wife and I walked in there today and walked back out quickly! The tanks are dirty and algae on the glass. The floors are filty and the place is a mess. I felt sorry for the two birds in the large cage near the tanks, as well as the fish in those tanks! Won't ever return! This is neglect, not renovations!
Love how this store keeps things as natural as possible. I first wondered why the water in the tanks looked brown but the owner took the time to explain that they use pieces of wood and leaves to add tannins in the water. Apparently tannins are an antibacterial which helps the fish because they get stressed being in empty tanks always being chased.
