Failed my first Class 5, passed the second, lady that helped me register everything was super nice. During my first test, the man did the basics by telling me what I can and can’t do. I too asked him if I’m able to small talk, ask for the speed limit during certain sections if I don’t know itI know some registries allow it so I asked to make sure and everything, everything was fine except for asking for the speed limit so I noted it and went on the way for our test. We’re having a normal conversation and I’m doing fine, he suddenly stops replying and goes into complete silence which confuses me but I say nothing and just do my test. He said I did very well with everything but when we pull up to the registry he tells me I failed, I’m dangerous and raises his voice telling me to never talk to him during the test which didn’t make sense because I asked him beforehand. He told me that he won’t be here the next day but that I have to try again the day after so that he’ll be here and he personally wanted to see me improve which I found just super creepy. He was a shorter, bigger built older guy. I do the test again the next day when he wasn’t there and passed with a great score, this man was extremely nice!! He was quite tall so I felt bad for squishing him in my small car. The older lady helped me register for the rest since I passed my test, super friendly, even let me see my ID picture before she confirmed it and kept congratulating me. I really appreciate the second gentleman and the wonderful lady at the front! And to the first guy that did my road test, I hope I just misunderstood your odd actions
I went here to get a copy of my driver's license, because the one I had was lost. I received a temporary license. After 6 weeks I still had not received my new driver's license in the mail. I called them and they said to come back to the office with my ID and they would fill out the forms to get another one at no charge. It's nearly impossible for me to get to the registry during their hours. Three months later i had the time to go back and reapply. Once there they asked for my temporary driver's license. I didn't have it, and they never told me to bring it with me. It had expired 2months ago and I may have thrown it out. I was told that without the temporary drivers license they would have to charge me all over again for a new one. Meanwhile she had on her computer screen my application for a drivers license from three months ago, showing payment for it. I asked her why is it that important when you can see that i purchased it three months ago?! She had no good reason. I agreed to pay for it because i would not have time to come back and do this again for quite some time. I will be persuing a refund.
Expect a considerable wait no matter what time of day you come. This Registry is always understaffed and under-equiped to deal with the volume of customers. I've been coming here on and off for decades and this fact has been consistent. No wonder they took down their clock. I considered two stars because the staff is always friendly, but the staff albeit friendly is not knowledgeable and routinely need to ask other staff how to do thing you get lots of opportunity to see this during your lengthy wait. So efficiency is also an issue which, again, leads to longer wait times. What's more, they can't be bothered to put up notices for customers when they have run out of items required for services such certain government stickers, etc. Instead, you'll be informed by the staff, after you're unbearably long wait, that they can't help you. There is very little that differentiates Registry offices. Why go to a Registry and wait far longer than you should, that's operated by an ownership/management that has no respect for your time?
Roberta is one of the lowest quality managers of any business that I have encountered. You and your entire team need some training. I see you also enjoy to respond like a child to all your poor reviews. Good luck running your business into the ground.
Recently needed an Alberta driver’s license and health card after moving from out-of-province. Roberta was great over the phone in explaining what we needed to bring with us when we came in. The gentleman whom helped us at the counter, was great as well.
I've been to this registry several times. The agent who sits on the far left always seems to have an attitude problem but today was especially pronounced. She was very loudly berating an elderly gentleman who had come to get his registration renewed. She acted as if he couldn't hear her and had no comprehension but the old timer seemed perfectly sound of mind and hearing. She then proceeded to be extremely rude and unhelpful when he asked why he needed a medical and where the nearest location to get one was. I was disgusted.
My experience at this registry was great. The wait time was minimal and I was greeted by a friendly employee who answered all of my questions. I would definitely recommend all my family and friends to come to this registry
This experience might be an anomaly in the registry world, but they were open on Canada Day and were very fast and efficient. Highly recommend them even if you don't live that close, it is worth the drive considering I forgot my registration was expiring and was leaving for the long weekend! Very friendly staff, thanks again Riverbend Registry!
Small little place but was pretty quick getting help staff was nice
Do not take your kids for there learners here. My son has a disability can't write nor read. They said he was cheating when I had everything of his in the car with me. Told him the computer would shut off at 2. This lady was very rude to my son. Will never go back there again.
