River Street Station

It's so hard to rate this place. It's the sleaziest bar and grill in town, the employees are always out front or in the alley smoking, the facade is dirty and in need of paint and window cleaning, it'll take 45 minutes to get food when they're busy, BUT the staff are all friendly and helpful, every item that I've tried from the menu (and I think I've tried them all) was delicious, the beers are cold and reasonable, and the outdoor deck is the best dining spot in town. Personally, I'm not bothered by any of the "negatives" that I've mentioned and will continue to patronize River Street every year when we're in town. I would recommend trying it before dismissing it.

I worked here for a month and a half. Absolutely disorganized and unprofessional environment. They can't even manage to write a proper schedule. I'd work 10-14 hour shifts for 2 to 3 weeks straight. And still have someone attempt to call me in on a rare day off. Dozens of health code violations. Smallest and most outdated kitchen I ever had the displeasure of working in. Not to mention the fact that all of the staff does drugs on the job. DO NOT WORK OR EAT HERE

Nice deck overlooking the canal. Food was good, but half the menu was not available. Service was fast and attentive, but not experienced.

My server appeared not to know much about the menu (she had to read the menu in order to tell my brother what his side options were for a meal, then she got confused at the menu wording), my "Grilled Pepper Wrap" was premade, packaged food that was hardly edible, my brother asked for steak cooked rare, and got a steak that resembled boot leather, my girlfriend ordered Perch and received extremely small, pre-made and frozen, full-of-bones pieces of fish. Several other members of my party reported food that was hardly edible and not at all enjoyable. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone.

Food, staff, and view were great, but the Cajun cod bites were incredible!
