As a former resident of Poundmakers Lodge Treatment Centers, walking the trails in this area has a special meaning to me. Absolutely everyone can appreciate the beauty of the wonderful scenery here though. With trails all over the place going in every possible direction, there's certainly lots to explore.
Back to nature, beautiful naturally preserved forest with excellent trails and many fork’s. Clean, well maintained year around daily activity for our dog and us.Wait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Excellent natural area with walking trails throughout. The trails are in various states of care so make sure you have good footwear. There is no washroom facilities. You can enter the area by foot at the south end and at the north end there is a parking lot where the main entrance is to the trails. Spread throughout the trails are lots of information boards about the flora and fauna. A great place to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing stroll through nature. Lots of mosquitoes, just warning you. So use mosquito repellent if you can.
This area is a hugh place, contains walking trails and open field trails. There were more people showed up in the afternoon than morning time. Moreover, there has more than 10 kind of flowers admirable while walking down the trails. A nice place to be in nature atmosphere.
Well groomed trails for winter snow fun or for walks or runs during the spring, summer or fall too. Decent parking available and plenty of fun for you, the kids and your pets.
It’s a big and nice tree filled area! There’s a decent sized parking lot right at the entrance and the area is easy to find! It’s a huge area with mostly trail paths and it could be easy to get lost because a lot of the area looks the same but it’s very quiet and peaceful.
There's a coyote in the area as of date posted. it is not scared of humans or dogs at all. It's also making noises like a dog to attract dogs over. Be extra careful if you have your dog off leash
It would be really nice if it was clear if dogs are allowed off-leash or required to be on leash and if required to be on leash that this was enforced. My leashes dog was rushed by at least 8 off leash dogs in less than 20 mins. Not really a great experience.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Great outdoor area! Hills, trees, fields and lots of trails. Dogs must be leashed.
Great place to go for a walk, lots of different things to see. But bring bug spray or walk fast. Ha ha
