Nice sunny terrace bar and that's all. Service is very slow. Food is ordinary nothing crazy. Waitress tells you one thing about the dish and another thing is brought to you. I only recommend bottled beers. Cocktails and sangria not good very either. Sorry, but all you have is a very nice location in a very busy area and I'm sure the place wouldn't look busy if it wouldn't be only for tourists that get trapped for the first time.
I stopped here because I was waiting on my husband for our night on a boat event. The terrace is very attractive on a sunny warm day. One drink turned it to several beers and an appetizer. This is not a place if you're on a budget, it is to indulge. I have to say by reading the other reviews, there's somewhat something about the speed of the service but, as a customer, you have to get noticed when you get into a place. The terrace area is quite large and there's so much surface one can keep in focus. I wouldn't purposely organized some time to come back here but I would certainly stop by if I'm in the area with some spare time.
Wonderful service! We went on a slow night, but our server was attentive and kind! The food was amazing, and the terasse is so beautiful! A place to go if you want to splurge a little bit on a date! :
Very nice place. The service was excellent ! Thank you Anthony you’re awesome, best server around. Love the aperitivo style with amazing pizzas ... Must try if you love pizza Kevin the manager took care of us really nicely for our group and made sure everything was fine. If you need to be served like a VIP follow the French accent. Enjoy! Ps : The only problem we had, was cheap customers complaining for ice cubes in their sangria for no reasons who wanted to save on the tip cause they got surprised by the bill... McDonald’s not far tho...
Disappointing... I thought sangria for $45 would have flavor at least - but not in Riva. We ordered red sangria, but what came out was watery light-pink liquid without a hint of alcohol or juice - just ice. The waiter with man bun and condescending attitude started arguing that the ice made it watery. Good try... The next sangria they made was better they even put slices of orange!, but the impression of the place was already ruined. It doesn't end there though. The waiter never checked on us, so we had to ask 2 other staff members to give us the bill. After all, the bill arrived in at least 30 min. It is hard to piss me off but they did. Never going back!
It deserves a zero! We were sat and then ignored. The waitress visited the table beside us and didn’t come to our table. After waiting 15 minutes we signalled to the hostess for assistance and was blatantly ignored, at which point we got up and the hostess proceeded to the table to remove the menus. It is obvious our money was not welcomed at this place. And to add the chairs are dirty.
The place is beautiful, but it's extremely overpriced. I guess it makes sense since it's in the old port and you're overlooking the water. I came here to eat one evening but they only told us that the kitchen was closed once we sat down.
Good place for lunch. Took the meal for 4. The pizza is very good and they have a good selection for prosecco.
Really nice location in Montreal’s old port! Nice selection of Prosecco and their pizza is to die for
Good cafe right by the marina, quick service fair pricing and delicious pizza and gelato.
