5/5 I'm not sure why the low ratings? This place is a great replacement from Perkins. Second time at Rio and worth the $33. You get a salad bar, rice, noodles, and a combination of meat. The service is superb as well. If my raving review is not enough. Will the pictures do the trick? Give them a try and be open minded to new things. I want to help keep this place open. If they would like me to make some content for them. I can totally do that. They can really get good clients as they are in a good spot. The jazzy music is a great change.
Good service, clean restaurant. Used to be a Perkins. It was our first time there. Nor the server or the host explained to us how they serve the food. Our server came only explained what kind of condiments she brought. The beef was tender and flavorful and was medium rare and fatty to our liking. The Salmon was moist and the beef ribs was very rich! The salad bar was ok. The only bad was the dessert which was only ice cream. We had Strawberry and Green tea. The Strawberry was good. The Green tea didn't taste anything like it and it looks like they used food coloring instead matcha green tea. They don't served any bread. Overall was very good. We'll be back!
Friendly customer service but personally the food was decent. My fav was the pineapple, chicken + shrimp wrapped with bacon, one of the steak with crispy/fatty ends, and the green tea ice cream. Aside from that, most of their steaks tasted the same. It was only good fresh and warm, once it cooled down it was hard to chew some of them. Also, was not a fan of the "hmong " pepper. It tasted more on the vinegar side.
Food was delicious, service was great & drinks were delicious. Margaritas were ordered. Highly recommended if you have not tried it. Spacious considering current covid restrictions. Will be back for more!
My son wanted Fogo De Chao for dinner for his birthday. We heard about Rio from a few friends and it was closer than going all the way into Minneapolis. I have to say for a Wednesday evening it was fantastic all around. This place is an Eastern metro gem. All of the meat was impeccably cooked and served promptly. The salad bar was amazingly fresh and was a feast for the eyes. The service was amazing and personable. I would take Rio over Fogo any day! Personal touch from our server for bringing an ice cream platter and singing Happy Birthday.
We've been to Grill hall, Bulvinos, Rodizio, Fogo, and wanted to give this one a try. Service was good they brought out the cuts we wanted to try however you'd have to ask for it, and even offered us a special pepper sauce! Was hoping they'd have Hmong pepper and sticky rice like Grill Hall. :
Delicious meal! The Denver steak and roasted pineapple are my favorites followed by the bacon wrapped chicken and shrimp! I hope that business picks up because this place was fantastic with kind service and tender steaks to try.
Love the the staff, they are so friendly and ask if there is any preference in the kind of meat. The food test AMAZING. I have been to Fogo de Chao. I will definitely come back so frequently and highly recommend these restaurants I love salad bar too Love everything.
I loved it! Most of the food was great and the price was pretty good too. Good environment, service and the dessert is great! I’m not Brazilian and don’t know if it’s accurate to Brazilian steakhouses, but it’s just a great place in general. Sure, it isn’t perfect but I really don’t understand all the one star reviews. It was a great experience.
Even a 1 star rating is too high for this place. After 30 min we were no longer serviced. My 7yr old wanted another slice of pineapple and was refused. Staff argued with me and told me they don't have time to talk to me. No wonder the restaurant was empty on a Saturday evening at 7pm. Guests behind us had to track down their check. Stay away, stay far far away I just saw the response to my review and yes we were there for over an hour as we had no service after 30 minutes. I am a customer who had hoped to enjoy a special family dinner. We were trying to take our time as going out was a treat. It's not like they needed the table, barely any customers in the place. Hopefully this response by staff shows just how they treat their customers.
