Rinzler's Meat Market

About

Rinzler's Meats is Greater Moncton's premier privately owned and operated meat shop. It's been that way for over since 1964!

Story

Though we started as a butcher in 1964, the operation has grown to a full grocery store. Did you know?
This location is actually the 2nd Rinzler's location... The first is where the Moncton Museum is currently located. We purchase as many of our items locally as possible. We carry bread from McBuns, Brother's Bakery and European Style Bakery.

Rinzler’s Market is one of Moncton’s historic gems established in 1964, and it’s easy to see why it's a great place to shop. They have an incredible variety of deli options including Halal selections just watch for the halal sticker! plus everything else you might need, from fresh produce, assortment groceries to specialty items.nnThe customer service is consistent, amazingly friendly, helpful, and welcoming any day.nnWednesdays are student and senior discount days. Get upto 10% discount on all purchase! Students just need an ID, and seniors… well, just say yes if asked, and voilà! you’re all set.nnWhether you’re popping in for a quick item or doing a full grocery run, Rinzler’s makes every visit enjoyable. Definitely a must-visit in Moncton!
Was looking at your website and I am not impressed. Tried to look at certain product but page jumped to another. Haven't been to rinzlers since shortly after new management. Last time had employee who could hardly understand English. Longtime deli employee not around after management takeover. Just about all new faces and accent. I could buy a pound of suet, sprinkle a bit of beef onto it and it would be almost as good as your hamburger. Your prices are no better than elsewhere. Not like the old days. Please do not givee the price of everything is going up crap. Actually don't bother to reply.
I’ve been buying meat here for years, but the new backpack policy has completely changed my experience.nnOn my last visit, I was told to remove my backpack. I was assured it would be kept by security, but when I left, I found it had simply been placed in an unlocked locker by the exit.nnThe store clearly doesn’t trust customers who bring backpacks, yet I’m expected to trust that my belongings will be safe in an unsecured locker. I think it’s reasonable to feel uncomfortable with that.nnUnfortunately, this experience really ruined my mood, and I no longer feel like shopping here.
Used to be a great local business that was a pleasure to shop in while supporting local. Not the case anymore. New owners and new prices. Customer service is terrible and quality is non-existent. Rinzlers is dead and so is their customer loyalty, avoid at all costs. I'd rather shop at Superstore at least there's a bigger selection of items to be over charged for
Local meat market/grocery store that has been a fixture in this city for as long as I can remember. I typically shop for their sales. I absolutely love their breakfast sausages and the store cut bologna.nnI love how they have gone overboard with their Temu/Aliexpress neon signs throughout the store! It's tacky, but yet funny.nnCashiers are all friendly, which is nice.nnI'm uncertain if they still do this marketing gimmick, but for a while at a random time I believe mostly weekends/holidays, you could be lucky enough to see and dance with Sir Loin Store Mascot - yes, a meat market needs a mascot!. I happened to be in the store one Saturday, and as I walked in, there was loud music blasting out of one of those Costco party speakers with the flashing lights around the woofer. I had heard about Sir Loin, but had never seen him.... until that day! So out from behind the butcher counter comes Sir Loin, dancing his way to the MC of this now crazy party. Did I mention this is a meat market? So, anyways, Sir Loin is dancing his way around the store and hi-fiving everyone that'll give him a hand, all the while, the Rocky movie theme song is blasting through the store.nnSo at some point, Sir Loin makes his way to the MC, and she announces that you can win free meat if you go over and dance with Sir Loin. Let's be honest, a I can't dance and b I can't dance with an animal that I'm about to throw their cousin on the barbecue in an hour from now. But I did see one woman dance for maybe 30 seconds, and she got a shrink wrapped styrofoam tray with one or two burger patties and a few hot dogs. Not bad for dancing for 30 seconds. Another cute gimmick.nnSo Rinzlers...lots of meat, prices are reasonable on most items but a bit high on some cuts of beef. I realize we are currently experiencing a beef shortage, so beef is generally priced high at the time of writing this. I shop the flyer and the bargain bin.
