I have been to Ricky's a few times now. Each time I have went was great. Food was delicious. Service was great each time. The food came out hot. No mistakes. I tried the cheese omelette one time. That was really good. I loved their season fries. I just tried the apple and cinnamon waffles, and stuffed hash browns. It was really good. I did take the picture after I mixed the hash browns. I couldn't see the sour cream, cheese and bacon. Once I mixed it up it was all there. It was delicious. I enjoyed the waffles too. Again took the picture a little bit after it came out, so the whipped cream has melted down a bit. It looked great when it first came out. Our waitress was really fast, friendly, and on top of everything, even while it was busy... Athena was her name. I would recommend this place. Over all great experience and good food.
Nice Quiet Spot. The Southern-Style Chicken Tenders were delightful and so were the Stuffed Hash-browns! They did charge me extra for the dipping sauce and the menu says its included so I think maybe the server wasn’t educated on the POS System.
Quite great place to get breakfast for affordable price! Only thing I'd say is that yo uhave to add salt n pepper to the hash browns if you get themwhich is easy enough just thought might be helpful infoFood: 5/5
Awful experience! There was 2 servers and 2 tables. We waited at the front door while a server had a conversation with a customer payed already for over 5 minutes. When we finally got seated it took over 10 minutes for a server to arrive. We placed orders right away and still waited almost 20 minutes for our cold food. The poutine was sour and cold. The server actually phoned the manager on the phone right in front of us as we wanted the poutine removed from the bill. Not very professional if you ask us. Not sure what the server was doing but she was no where to be found? Had super good service many times before but tonight not so much. Unfortunately we will not return
Went with a big group to an empty restaurant almost closing. It was last minute and near closing time so I was willing to cut them some slack; however, they served almost inedible food to many in our group. It also took a few people over an hour to get their food after ordering. From macaroni and cheese that was far worse than Kraft dinner, to undercooked burgers to soup that looked like it came from a can it was probably the worst restaurant meals I have ever seen. The restaurant should have refused to serve us if they could not provide food to a good standard. Hopefully they learned from this.
My family and I frequent Ricky’s because their food is good and consistent. The staff is very friendly and sadly over worked. I’d give 5 stars if there was more wait staff so we didn’t feel partially neglected when we visit. I understand it’s not the servers fault either. We usually visit for breakfast/Brunch. I feel as though service would dramatically increase. Ricky’s has been like this pre-Covid/pre-labour shortages. So it’s a solid 4 stars for Ricky’s. Kid-friendliness: High-chairs, booster seats, good children’s menu. Parking: Despite being on Douglas it has decent parking in their lot and there is tons of street parking behind the building as well. Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs.
The server was very nice and friendly but service was slow even when the restaurant wasn’t busy. Foods were below average. The ginger chicken bowl would taste better if there was less sauce on it. My partner had the beef dip which was very salty like he could have a heart attack after eating that because of the sodium amount he consumed. I would not come back.
Very welcoming and quick service as we entered. Or waitress was very helpful and fast. I ordered the strawberry banana butter milk pancakes and my boyfriend the burger. We both enjoyed our meal! The only suggestion for the pancakes would be that I would have liked to have fresh bananas on top instead of being cooked inside. But overall it was still good. . Washrooms were clean and restaurant 4/5 We would go back. Good prices for the meals we had!
If I could give 0 stars I would. The food came out quick but from first glance I could tell this food was cooked by someone with no knowledge in the kitchen and for the most part was inedible. Toast burnt all the way around omelets looked as if my dog ate it and then threw it back up on my plate. As I sat picking at my inedible food for 20 minutes not once did a server come to refill my water or ask me how the food was. When my server finally came over I let her know I wasn't happy at all with the food. I then watched her tell her manager as she took the dog food away. Do you think he came over to talk with me not a chance. Do you think they handed me a bill with any sort of discount or apology ? Iv given this place to may chances everytime a dissapointment. Only two things will turn this location around. To have a real cook in the kitchen and to have someone who can properly manage the front of the house. Like seriously 20 min with my glass sitting on the edge of my table and all the servers and manager are standing talking at there station. I literally felt alone. Horrible experience
We had a lunch here with children and they enjoyed it. Overall the food was good and the staff were attentive. We were a little surprised at a Monte Cristo sandwich which was good except it was surprisingly sprinkled with sugar.Food: 3/5
