Food was ok. You can taste that the oil has been reused all day when cooking the fish. The garlic chicken had too much garlic inside making it too spicy. The pita has been toasted and seasoned prior to being served making it very flavourful. Lots of tables and great local beer served at a reasonable price.
The hard working staff here gives it there all! The overworked staff time and time again never fail to amaze me. I’ve been eating here for the last 3 years while I worked in town. The head lady is very hard working and try’s her best to keep everyone happy. She deserves a big raise along with her staff. I hope Ricky’s franchise gives these people the acknowledgment they deserve. The sign outside always says we are hiring and yet no one wants to work anymore. Keep up the good work Ricky’s Golden! Your hard work doesn’t go unnoticeable!
I ended up going here every other day while in Golden as the food was consistently great and the waitresses were very friendly and accommodating. I often got the chorizo brekkie bowl or the Yukon big bite breakfast, both of which were filling and delicious.
The service was OK, but the food was very poor seasoned without flavor, but the worst of all were the boneless ribs were I was served like two pounds of smashed potatoes and just a pinch of vegetables and a small portion of meat. So I'm so sorry but I don't recommend it at all. I gave it two stars just because the service was ok, but never coming back again.
A quaint little place with good food. I was seriously impressed with the dish I ordered. Classic Italian lasagna with a side ceasar salad and garlic Texas toast. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because the hostess was so softspoken I had trouble hearing her and had to ask her to repeat herself multiple times. Other than that, it's definitely worth the stop
From September 22 between 8-9pm. Stayed at Prestige Inn and thought we’d grab a bite to eat here after our drive and while I understand that they are short staffed, our server was forgetful and I knowledgeable. We had asked for waters a handful of times and only got them after asking again when our food had come out. Ordered a margarita and she came out with a see through green drink in a martini glass. Ordered our food and got the wrong item for one meal and missed items for the other meal. We didn’t bother to say anything as we didn’t see the point. It was odd as it seemed like there was two people on the floor but only our server was going to tables while the other one didn’t do a whole lot? Could be wrong but wanted to note that. For a lower price, I’d go to Tim’s down the street. Hope you find better staff or train the ones you have more.
Food was enjoyable and the service was prompt and friendly. A good place to stop over for a meal when travelling.
Stopped for a late breakfast on our way to Calgary. All staff were very friendly and our server Takinka was very personable. Food was above average - eggs Benny and an everything omelet. We really appreciated how quiet and clean the restaurant was. Highly recommended. Parking: Lots of parking in front and around the side Wheelchair accessibility: Easy level access.
We arrived at 7:50pm after just driving for several hours. My little family of 2 adults and 1 baby stopped by to get dinner and stretch our legs. Only to be turned away with no reason. As we were walking out another family, bigger than ours walked in and were greeted and seated no problems. No idea why we got turned away but feel very hurt and discriminated against. I will be avoiding this place and telling friends and family.
Best breakfast that we've had in a long time. Amazing staff! Friendly n clean place to dine. I highly recommend this place. We will return one day. Thank you Louanne Parking: Alot of parking
