May have been one of the first driving ranges I ever came to a couple years ago. You can rent clubs but it’s always nice when the person you came with brings his whole set, teaches you what is PGA class A, and gets the buckets of balls for you?
Easy to find .. lots of parking Tons of COVID space for all the hit balls .. my 12yr old boy’s first time in many years ever hitting a ball. And to think it was his idea today to find a driving range. After we were done, he asked if we can come back tomorrow ? That’s a big time win for ole dad ... we will be back
Token card expires after 2 month regardless of how much credits you buy. A recently added T&C, as it’s taped on the in-store menu
$12 for 120 balls. Heaters are very warm in the winter. Very friendly lady staff. Always busy tuff to find a stall if you go after dinner. Well lit up range. You can see you ball hit 250 mark with the lights at night.
3 stars is generous. Run down, dive. No one attending to make sure there are clean baskets or any baskets at the ball dispenser. No sanitizing that can be seen. No tissues or sanitizer at ball dispenser. The girls at the desk are on their phones the whole time. If you’re in a jam, it’ll do. But there are MUCH nicer options for the same money. Try Savage Creek down the road, a much more upkept, sanitized and classy place.
This driving range is new to me just off the highway and located next to green acres golf course. It's a single level and mostly undercover with fans and heating as required. The stalls are wide enough and the range is flat with a tall net at the far end. Unless you're hitting into the mid 300 yard range you're not going to reach the net. There is ample ball machines for supply and there is also a lot of hitting assist devices or training devices that you can borrow. At the one end of the range is a grassy area that you can hit from as well. Price per bucket is reasonable. The only thing with this range is that it is very busy. It is oftentimes populated with people that seem to have memberships and campouts for the whole day. There is not effective policing of the players here in that people can leave their bags and coat at a station for hours on end without actually hitting while they're socializing at another station or just watching someone else. Inside the building there is a small pro shop and small cafe neither of which seems to be particularly well stocked. The customer services very basic. I do like this range however because it is relatively close and easy to get to on the highway system. Outside there is also a chipping and putting area which is good. And of course it is in Richmond and a quick drive to all of what region has to offer otherwise. Will come again.
Came here today to practice but when I arrived, the reception desk was empty. Nobody was there for a long time so I had to go out and ask the ball lady where the receptionist was. She was also confused and we found them practicing at the range while working. It says that at the front that they have new management team running this place? This type of management is ridiculous. I wouldn’t even be as mad if the receptionist was playing with their phones, at least they are there if I need help.
Great facilities to practice or master your swing and such. To rent a club is $1.00, a bucket of 60 balls is $6.50. Seniors get special rate in the mornings. People are friendly. Lots of parking.
The matts are in good condition, and the range is flat. Also has a dedicated chipping area too. The roof awning overhangs too far out too hit high lofted clubs. But the grass driving range tee boxes are basically dont exist reference the picture.
Decent driving range, the mats could use a spot for your own tees to be used for different clubs though. Never got a chance to use the pitching, putting and chipping areas though, but they do have them which is rare for a range. Would bump the rating once I used those. Great service.
