Riôtel Matane‎

Fantastic water-side location with great amenities! Both indoor AND outdoor pool! Iige firepit, landscaped outdoor lounging area, deck etc overlooking the river. Didn't eat there but menu looked adventurous and upper-scale...not your standard deep fried fair. Very relaxing bar/lounge with great atmosphere. We got a bargain room on first floor that overlooked outdoor pool, not the greatest. Suggest you consider a room on higher floor maybe with a balcony. Nice waterfall shower! We'll definitely be back to Matane, the village is adorable with the best french pasterie shop ever!

Location, rooms, and staff are very good. The beach in the backyard is another plush point. There is no complementary breakfast eventhough prices are so high.

The hotel has everything we needed including laundry facility.nIt is located right in the middle of any stores you might want, Walmart, Canadian Tire, Giant Tiger, grocery stores.nThe shore front is great with wood fireplaces, nice pool and hot tub.nperfect place around Gaspe.

Nice place to stay on Rt132. Room is located right next to the river. Great view. Pool is good and kids enjoyed. Backside sand beach is very good. The only downside the bath shower. There was no control and the water was splashing everywhere. Also one other customer was talking on the list that they also had this issue. That’s is why I am giving 4*. Parking available and electric car charging also available.

Their willingness to assist, coupled with genuine warmth, added a personalized touch to our stay, making us feel well-taken care of throughout.nnHowever, not everything met our expectations. The hotel's Jacuzzi, one of the amenities we were particularly looking forward to, was closed, which was a disappointment. Additionally, the dining experience at the hotel's restaurant left much to be desired. Both the seafood coquille au gratin and the shrimp linguini we ordered were unremarkable, failing to live up to our anticipation of a memorable meal. Furthermore, the pricing of beverages seemed steep, with local tap beer priced at $11 a pint, which we found to be on the higher side.nnIn conclusion, while the Riôtel Matane excels in hospitality and location, there are areas that require attention, particularly the dining experience and the availability of all advertised amenities. Our stay was pleasant overall, thanks to the staff's dedication, but improvements in the aforementioned aspects could significantly enhance the overall guest experience. I would cautiously recommend Riôtel Matane to those visiting the area, with the advice to explore local dining options and to check in advance on the availability of amenities like the Jacuzzi.
