I called this attorney for a consultation after reading his positive google reviews. I was not impressed. He told me over the phone after 3 minutes that he wanted $3500 to take my case and he requested a mobile payment be sent to him before ever even having a face to face meeting. Then he sent me a text after our very brief phone call, requesting I leave a positive google review, before ever doing any work at all on my case. Not a big fan of or impressed by any lawyer who requests payment be sent to him before ever personally meeting them or signing any contracts/ agreements with them, or one that requests a positive google review be left before they have done any work on my case or even officially taken my case. Needless to say, we retained a different lawyer, for $500 less, who gave us a free 45 minute face to face consultation, after we had our initial 10-15 minute phone consultation, and took the time to thoroughly learn the details of our case and who we are as people, before ever even discussing payment, which he reserved for the very last remaining 5 minutes of our meeting. Note to lawyer: Clients, or potential Clients, like to be treated like they are real people, not just a quick mobile payment or google review, after 3 minutes on the phone. Take the time to have a formal meeting with your potential clients and learn their case and who they are as people. Also, a formal meeting in person to sign a payment contract and provide receipts to the client as proof of payment received, in addition to taking the time to look over any important documents or evidence on the case, are all helpful hints that might be a good idea if you want to foster a good client-attorney relationship, as well as earn yourself a positive google review
