Unbelievably Useless, called for more information on whether or not I could be seen as a walk in, administrative assistant immediately attempts to direct me to other services, as though calling her was my first attempt at getting seen by a physician; and is generally wildly unhelpful and offers no useful information at all. looks like I'm going to St anne thanks for nothing you so called professionals.
"Dr." Melanie Arsenault Are medical degrees cracker jack prizes here or something? is a laughingstock and a travesty to the Canadian Healthcare system, I would much rather pay for healthcare. For the rest of this review I will refrain from using the term doctor in association with Arsenault because the title does not fit, I would, however suggest usage of the term Clown or Fool. I, while on leave from my standard duties in the U.S. Military visited My Fiancé whom I accompanied to an appointment with Dr. Arsenault. Arsenault started the appointment off strong by looking at myself in disgust and then turning to my Fiancé asking, " Who is this?" My fiancé briefly explained who I was and why I was there. I sat down and Melanie started with standard intake procedures, blood pressure, temperature etc. My fiancé had stage 2 hypertension, which was not mentioned by Melanie, who instead turned the sphygmomanometer toward the wall, and I happened to glance at the reading. My fiancé then began to explain their medical concerns all of which Melanie ignored and stated "that's an open investigation." My fiancé mentioned something paramedics stated that she could assist with, which Melanie shot down immediately with that same ridiculous phrase "open investigation." At this point I could feel my blood boil from her pompous radiation, but nevertheless I remained calm and I attempted to explain some of what I have noticed whilst with my fiancé and Melanie rudely interjected that she was not going to argue with me and then refused to acknowledge me for the rest of the appointment. When my fiancé attempted to produce pictures of the issue Melanie said she was not interested in seeing it, but then ended the appointment. I at this point mentioned to Arsenault that I was a medical professional with the U.S. Military responsible for the health and safety of around 150 individuals, and mentioned that it was ridiculous that she could just let a patient with potentially life threatening illness walk away without any sort of treatment. Melanie simply walked away after this exchange. At this moment I realized these "doctors" would rather you die than help you in any way. Steer far away, if you can, I would suggest crossing the border and seeking consultation there, it may cost an arm and a leg but it will not cost your life, unlike medical "care" from Horizon's Rexton Health Centre.
On the phone I pressed 0 as I wasnt a patient of any of the Drs. The Administrative Assistant at the front desk on the phone was of no help. Did not know if any doctors had a wait list. I asked if I could just call into them to see and she wasnt sure, told me I had to physically go in and ask the dr.. yet to see a dr you needed an appointment. Once I hung up I called back and pressed each dr extension to dial them. He individual who answers the phone when you press 0 should have more knowledge of how the facility operates and how to contact them. Aside from her knowledge, she also wasn't very nice on the phone and sounded very whiney when answering my questions.
