At first I thought that Selkirk Car Rental and Columbia Towing bought themselves a dirty cop, but it seems that the whole town is in on it. I contested the ticket in traffic court, anywhere in the civilized world the case would've been dismissed, however the judge took the cop's testimony about being able to visually estimate a vehicle's speed against VIDEO evidence showing clearly that the cop was lying. Meanwhile British Columbia is spending millions in advertising campaigns, trying to attract tourism to the region, no wonder. Who'd wanna go there and get robbed at badgepoint? Have a dashcam or download an App like AutoBoy Black Box and have it recording the entire time you're driving in the area., but don't hold your breath, even with solid video evidence the judge will side with the cop's physical abilities of guesstimating your speed: 150km/hr. And, it's ALWAYS 150Km/hr on a 90 zone. Congratulations to the Town of Revelstoke, RCMP Revelstoke and the Revelstoke Court on legalizing Highway Robbery! You just put Tijuana to shame.
