Revello's was my first stab at Old Forge-style pizza. The pepperoni tray was heavy, HEAVY, on onion flavor. Still, I liked it quite a bit. Low marks for the soda policy, however; no free refills. Seriously. Also, the fries were disappointingly undercooked.Dine in: Yes
Decided to go try old forge pizza while visiting back home. I have to say I'm ok with trying out so later in life Ravello's is a nice little pizza place I went during lunch time was pretty empty but I'm on with that. I got a white cut and red cut pizza, the red cut was pretty basic pizza but the crust was really crunchy which I loved. The white pizza was a little to much cheese for me with no sauce sorta like a calzone but I wasn't impressed. Overall the pizza was still good and for a old forge pizza where it all started I still enjoyed it, thanks Revello's for being my first
Old Forge It’s a fun place, outside bands lots of music , friends, food too. Maybe like the shore without a ocean? RJR Revello’s Pizza : Great food , nice variety on the menu, pizza, Old Forge pizza , it’s a cut not a slice. My favorite is white pizza with broccoli . All the red pizza is great. Pat, Heather, Caroline , Joey , and Rocco are great host caring on the Great family tradition . Friendly fun staff. Full bar . Summertime entertainment under the giant tent. You can order on the slice app for delivery, or over the phone and in person for pickup. I got a recommendation from a co-worker and looked at all of their pictures online before going and thought I was in for a treat. When I got there it was apparent that they were having a big bash, perhaps a band was coming or DJ cuz it was a huge tent with lots of people and everyone was having a good time. I just ordered one of their square cut reds otherwise known as Sicilians, and brought it home just to be sad. Although they told me it would take 45 minutes it was apparent that the pizza was done 20 minutes before I got there leaving me no chance to eat it while it was hot and three out of the 12 slices were burnt. Don't go for the squares, perhaps there's some magic in their round pizza but I'll never find out because I won't return. To recap we waited over an hour...got to the location to wait some more ...fight through a crowd ...fight for parking, then drove home ....only to experience room temperature Pizza that was burnt. The sausage was perfect, two slices awkwardly placed on each square. I am throwing the other half of the tray away today.
5 ravioli & 2 small meatballs for $18!?! I got more bread than I did entree. Meatballs on top of being small were flavorless. Pasta was chewy. Cheese filling was pretty good. Only reason I chose this place was it was the only one open in the area. Definitely won’t be getting again in the future. Oh, and a 10 year old boy waited on me…pretty sure that’s illegal!
Service was the WORST/SLOWEST that I have ever experienced anywhere in >50 years of adulthood. The waitress was the most inattentive that I have ever seen. Reservations for 10 + 3 very young children on Sat. night. We arrived shortly ~7:00pm & were directed outside, to walk along the side of the building on a decline to a separate entrance 2 people were noticeably disabled & this was difficult for them - also, most were dressed in formal clerical garb. It was very noisy & one other group in this room was extremely loud. Seating was at one long table with hard wooden bench seats on one side and hard metal chairs on the other side. We waited a VERY long time for orders to even be taken. Beverages & bread were brought to the table and then the waitress effectively disappeared. Each of the 2 carafes of water held only enough for 2-1/2 glasses and we had to constantly ask for more water. After more than an hour, I finally flagged down the waitress, saying that my friend was gluten-intolerant & couldn't eat bread, that she hadn't eaten since 8:00am, to please bring her salad. We were hoping that this would prod her to bring all of the salads, but she served only the one. Shortly after that, the young kids' parents spoke up & a small pizza was brought out so that the kids could eat this was already WAY after their bedtimes. We were not served our salads til after 8:30. When our salad plates were cleared, we asked the waitress about the delay & were told that "it was very busy." We pressed for an ETA about our entrees & she brushed us off. At 8:55pm, those of us at one end of the table agreed that, if we were still not served, we would simply walk out in 5 min. At 9:00pm, we were literally getting out of our seats when the first few entrees were brought out, so we stayed. My friend had ordered chicken $19 and, while I continued to await my salmon $25, she gave me some of her chicken I returned the favor when my meal was served. After all of the entrees were served and half-finished, the waitress returned with the side-order veggies broccoli & sliced potatoes - nothing else on the menu was available, each on a small bread plate. My salmon was tasty, but not outstanding and was a VERY small portion. All together one person treated us, including drinks + tax - but not including tip which NONE was deserved, but I'm sure was paid - the bill was probably ~$300+. With this absolutely terrible service, I wouldn't go back there if we were comped for life.
Pretty annoyed. Ordered 7 pizzas last night with a friend she got 6; I got 1. Heading home from Finger Lakes to NJ so timed pick up at 12. He hands me my box of white sauce less uncut. I get home and it's a regular cut pizza. Should I have double checked when I got there? Probably, but we were the only ones there with orders. Sticking to the place across the street from now on. Never had issues there.
Was pretty good experience. I found it odd no celery or carrots for the wing bites but did send blue cheese... I asked and the waitress politely laughed at me and said "we never had celery here" Oh well took some time for drink refills. But pizza was good honestly I'd skip the wing bites. Kid-friendliness: Good loud atmosphere for kids
First and last time at Revello's. Walked into a wall of screaming kids who were running around the restaurant and into the take-out area. Little to no parental or adult supervision. Tried to order food for a while, nobody came over to check on our table or even get drinks. Once we did get an order in, the food took forever to arrive despite no new tables coming in. Apps and mains arrived at the same time, and the food was overcooked across the board. I would be ashamed to put out an entirely charred burger patty with not even a scrap of cheese when the order was for a cheeseburger. A dining guest ordered a "sausage plate" which literally consisted of a small dish of sauce and sliced sausage. That's it - no bread, pasta, salad, etc. Halfway through dining one of the servers loudly complained how someone walked out on their bill and vowed to double charge them the next time. And bemoaned how the person/s in charge of staffing are clueless. I really am patient when it comes to restaurants as I know many are short-staffed right now FOH and kitchens but this experience was terrible all the way around. Would not recommend.
Placed my order via slice app. Went to pick up my order that was PAID FOR. Was told someone already picked it up and there was nothing they can do about it. Only after I went full Karen demanding to speak to the manager was I given my order I paid for. Thus having to wait for it to be made, causing me to be late to the party I was bringing the food to. Customer service needs to be better. Food quality was good. Everything was delicious. However the rudeness of the staff will keep me away from ever going there again.
