Unique bar/restaurant with a diverse menu. Our group was able to sit outside and enjoy the patio. Service was quick and the waitstaff were friendly. We enjoyed the bacon buffalo dip as an appetizer, the Moroccan Lamb, Grilled Cheese, and Pork Potstickers for dinner. All of the drinks were strong and tasty. Will definitely be back to try other menu items.
Went there with a large group. Service was great and food was amazing. I had the Cuban pork loin. Probably one of the best Cuban dishes I've had. Music was a touch loud but it fit the theme of the restaurant. Great place!
This was phenomenal. Tofu steak and I don't even know what my fiance had because mine was too enticing. Great speciality cocktails. Would certainly recommend.Dine in: YesTakeout: Yes
Had a group of us come in and it was great! There was one of the food items I wasn't a huge fan of but other than that, it's a great place for date night or a friend/family gathering. Great music and great atmosphere! I do feel bad our server but because it seemed like they were overwhelmed with the amount in our group, but they still did an amazing job!
Great beer selection and unique menu options, which is a nice change. We expected typical bar food, but we were pleasantly surprised by interesting food options outside of the norm for a bar. I had the grilled tofu steak, which was fantastic. A bit salty, but it was to be expected with some sort of soy sauce glaze and dip. It was really good. We also had some sort of chicken skewers, and those were really good. We'll be back.
Definitely wasn't expecting the level of food and service, but we found a new favorite place. Staff was very attentive, meals were beyond expectations, dessert was incredible, and the atmosphere was quite pleasing. We were celebrating the end of my cancer treatments, and I will undoubtedly say it was a perfect experience that I will remember! Vegetarian options: There were options, including tofu. Kid-friendliness: Surprisingly, there were families with smaller children and it was very casual. Parking: Street or lot parking, with good availability on a busy Friday evening. Wheelchair accessibility: Open floor plan would be easily accessed if in a wheelchair.
We had a group of 7. It took a long time to get drinks. Took over an hour for me to get a glass of water my only beverage for the evening. Finally got appetizers, which were excellent. After two hours, our server still had not taken our meal orders after promising to “be right back to take your order” so we left and went down the street. My first time there. Not a good first impression. I was disappointed, as the appetizers were so good…really wanted to try the entrees.
Definately Hit or Miss I guess! Wasnt impressed by the service or portions for the price you pay. The food, what little we were served, was tasty! And stick with tap beer, its hard to mess up! I have to say, I had the WORST MARGARITA EVER!! So I ordered a Red Dragon, which they didnt know how to make again. AFTER coaching the bar tender, I finally got a drink that was MADE RIGHT! This was our first visit and we were excited to try the place out. We really wanted to like it. Unfortunately after this poor first impression, we probably wont be back. If you do find yourself here, I do recommend the Buffalo Chicken Dip as an Appitizer. That was probably the only thing that we enjoyed along with the awesome ambience and decor. All the Best to your business.
I am a part time bouncer at this location and overall I really enjoy it here everything I work. Great environment. Great service. Great employees. Great customers. Just overall a blast to attend. Come on down to Retro Rocks if your looking for a good time!Food: 4/5
Bottom line: this place serves the kind of food that earns the "art" part of culinary arts. Visually appealing without needless garnish, purposeful and unique flavor pairings, meticulous attention paid to texture and moisture. It took some time to get the food, and the prices triggered an eyebrow raise, but the freshness/quality of the offerings more than earned the wait time and price tag. Our server was Emily. She had great knowledge of the menu, nailed the balance between being attentive but not overbearing, and she had a great contagious attitude. The tofu steak appetizer: the best tofu I've ever had. Crispy grilled exterior mixes with green onion and what I think is a soy sauce? Hits perfect. 10/10 Thai Chicken Satay: I don't know how this measures up to other chicken satay, but the flavor combination was incredible and memorable. Unfortunately I don't really have the vocabulary to describe it it. Grilled chicken with a sweet peanut sauce and a slightly spicy onion/pickle vegetable bowl. Don't know how, but it works. Chicken Tandoori: You like Indian food? Give this a shot. Nice fat, moist, chicken thighs spiced up like a marsala served with pickled red onion and a sauce they call a mint parsley yogurt. I call it effing delicious. Top it all off with the flourless chocolate cake. It's a thick moist slice, the kind that would make a satisfying PAP! if it were dropped on the floor. It almost feels like a fudge. This thing really shines when you dip it in the raspberry sauce and minty whipped cream. Yet another amazing flavor pairing that my ape brain would have never dreamed up. The absolute WORST thing about this place is that I hear they want to get rid of the tofu steaks? No way! Vegetarian options: Tofu steaks are amazing.
