Every animal is vaccinated, dewormed, treated for fleas and micro-chipped. The price goes towards the care of the animals. Most of our animals are at the shelter for many weeks before they find their forever homes. The cost of food, vet care, etc. can add up in the time they are with us. Also, in the price, if the animal is not fixed, there is a spay/neuter deposit. This amount is reimbursed once we are provided with proof of spay/neuter. For cats it is a $40 refund, and for dogs it is $50. For animals that are already fixed, there is no reimbursement as that amount would have been put towards their surgery prior to adoption.
This site's purpose it to promote our animals up for adoption. If you have any concerns regarding anything else such as complaints or reporting a stray, please contact the shelter directly at 684-4396, Wednesday-Sunday 12-4pm
Keep in mind that this site is not monitored regularly by shelter staff, but by volunteers. Thank You
We live in a consumer-driven society where items are quickly disregarded when we tire of them for whatever reason and new items are acquired. Pets are forever. Every animal deserves a home where they will be loved and cared for their entire lives. Acquiring an animal is not a decision to be taken lightly and should only be made after a great deal of thought and consideration.
