Story

Caravela opened in December 2016 and is located in Orleans near Landmark Theater. Since then, Chef Jose Lemos has been serving both quality interpretations of classic dishes and daring new ventures into the uncharted territories of food.

Caravela's interior, designed by the award-winning Richard Bergeron, reflects the hip sensibilities of the surrounding area while also paying tribute to Portugal's storied past. The 50 seater restaurant offers the choice to observe passers-by or sit comfortably by the bar or intimately in this neat modern space.

Amazing dining experience! Professional and friendly service! Lots of good options! We had the Lamb Shank and Baked Cod both were exceptional! Shrimp Cakes are a fantastic app to start with. Lots of tasty Wine and desserts as well! Good for dates or dining out with close friends and family! A must for anyone in Orleans.
I used to order here pretty often. Called at 11am today to ask if I could make a pick up order later in the evening. They said yes of course not a problem. When I called at 4:15pm to place an order they tell me they're not taking orders anymore. Way to go Fernando, great customer service.
Good service. Good food. This is one of the better restaurants in Ottawa. Nice place to eat on casual or special occasions.
Really enjoyed the food..excellent. And they've done a top notch job organizing for social distancing and Covid safety. Worth the visit/reservation.
