Although a bit more expensive than some other sushi restaurants, the quality of the fish and other ingredients are pretty fresh and good. The wasabi had strong flavours and their blend of mayo sauce mixed in soya tasted pretty good. The edamame on the other hand was lacking a bit in flavours and the tempura inside the sushi were soggy. I enjoyed how they served a homemade blend of soya sauce instead of serving the sushi with packaged soya sauce. The overall balance of flavours of the soya sauce was decent but if the flavours were a bit stronger, it would have been even better for me. Overall, an enjoyable meal for a reasonable price.
Very good sushi at decent prices. Tastes fresh, rice is well cooked, quality ingredients, and they have some unique items. Keep it up sms sushi team!
Lets start with the good. The staff is kind and the service is good. It's a small place, so that is kind of expected. The sushi itself is absolutely delicious. I had the chance to discover new flavors that were quite pleasant. The tempura shrimp were on par with other restaurants and the edamame were cooked to perfection. A simple thing and yet, I've often had mush edamame, so kudos to that. I was somewhat excited by a couple menu items I'm not use to seeing on all you can eat menus. Wontong soup and peanut dumplings. I will go out of my way to pick some up in Chinatown when I can. Unfortunately, the dumplings in both the soup and the peanut sauce were completely mush and tasteless. I huge disappointment. A couple other little things that bothered me: - There really isn't all that many options. - The spicy mayo is 1.50$ each. serving size of about 3-4 tbsp. That killed me. I also asked for some ginger and never got any. All in all, it's worth trying. It is a decent all you can eat. However, if you are looking for an all you can eat to really eat your heart out, this may not be your best option. The best still remains Sushi St-Denis. 09-06-24
Definitely recommend for a peaceful dining experience. Reservations recommended. Very nice calm dining area and professional service makes you forget you're in an all-you-can-eat restaurant. Unlike other sushi buffets, each item is prepared on order so you can really taste the freshness. Nice generous portions and each serving is beautifully presented. The tempura is a must-have, nice light batter and not greasy at all. Was able to have few pieces without feeling weighed-down. The seaweed salad was also nice, as it was also served with green salad with the traditional Japanese salad dressing not Wafu like other places do. The spicy mayo sauce extra charge was a very nice compliment to the meal, especially good with the tempura. Although the ALCE menu is limited, there is also an à-la-carte menu with fancier offerings, all reasonable prices. The ice cream green tea, mango, red bean or black sesame is the higher quality, unlike the other restaurants.
Quality typical of all you can eat sushi. I've not been in an all-you-can eat sushi shop for quite a while. Sushi mooshi reminded me why I usually avoid all-you-can-eat sushi places. Sushi is made to order, rather than a buffet style deal. Portion sizes are decent, service is pretty good. Servers did not use the typical trick of o-sorry-I-forgot-about-that-order employed in some all-you-can-eat restaurants in order to avoid giving customers who would only eat the more expensive items on the menu ie sashimi. However, the quality of the sushi is average. The seaweed damp, and the rice lacks the firmness and the sweetness indicative of problem with some combination or all of the following: 1. a well rinsed high quality rice, 2. a good mixture of rice vinegar, sugar and salt, 3. mixed too roughly, and 4. not allowed to cool to a proper temperature before using/cooled or left for too long. The tempura shrimp also lacks a "bounciness" to the meat that indicates a high quality shrimp. Overall, it's evident that the focus is quantity over quality. I believe for the same price, I could have had something with much higher quality and still sufficiently fulfilling. However, I cannot fault the restaurant for offering all-you-can-eat and not offer high quality food. The menu is built to a price point. It is definitely up to the customers to decide if they want quantity vs. quality. If it's quantity they want. They can't go wrong with sushi moo-shi.
The food is excellent. We ordered sushi and poke bowl for takeout. The food is very appetizing for the eyes
BF craving for fish at 9pm and found this place still open in a weekday~ Freshness is the key for a sushi restaurant and here manage to have them fresh still before closing for the day! Limited choice of sashimi but the rolls are really good~staffs always with big and sincere smile on~ Will go back for the rolls~!
I love this place. Food is great and the service is beautiful
The service was excellent, the staff had great recommendations. Very friendly and courteous. The food was amazing, ordered a dinner for 2 plus a few more rolls, it was more than enough for a family of four. Bring your own wine/beer. We will definitely be back.
Update: This place has taken a turn for the worst! And I mean worst! The sushi smells horrible and is dry not one time but after two times we have ordered from here! COVID 19 must have done something to the quality of this restaurant! And they couldn't get our right the second time. The Sushi is one of the best I've had for all you can eat sushi place, however the fried rolls can be improved with less sauce. A pleasant experience eating and that's what truly matters the service is great and is not cramped like places in Montreal putting you next to eachother basically. Can use better furnishings but has an adequate look to it. Come here for the food and you won't be dissatisfied.
