Story

If you like honest and delicious food, then you are missing out if you have not discovered Shalimar. Chef-owners Jyoti Nigam and Lizy Anthony have been feeding fine Indian food to its regular customers from across the Eastern Townships (and beyond) for over two decades. Shalimar boasts a traditional tandoor, or clay oven, which turns out delectable naan and tandoori meats. The restaurant is equally hospitable to vegetarians and non-vegetarians and often offers a modestly-sized (and priced) buffet complete with items of flavour and freshness that will change the way you think about buffets. This is casual fine dining at its best.

As someone from Springfield Massachusetts, I've been going to Restaurant Shalimar every time I've visited Lenoxville since the summer of 2007 when they were in their old building before it burned. Whether was back then or right now, this restaurant serves outstanding food and has a terrific group of workers. I look forward to coming back this summer when I'm visiting lennoxville.
Looking for a taste of India? Look no further! This place is amazing! Each dish is made with love and care. Staff are attentive and friendly. I try to come here at least once a month and I live 1.5 hours away.
I went with family for a dinner with no reservation, which i shouldn’t have done, and the place was packed but they kindly offered to assist after a couple mentioned they were leaving shortly.nFood wise, i bet anyone can get decent food wherever, but this place offers the best service in my perspective, with authentic Indian cuisine served in authentic dishes. and even though we were there during the covid thing with no buffet available whatsoever, we found the menu to be decent, an almost all inclusive for a fixed price, which i found to be pretty decent.nThis place is definitely worth a detour and i will for sure go back again.
I had a lovely experience enjoying the well-crafted and flavourful food. The owner and their family took time out of their busy day to personally chat with us, which made the visit even more special. Thank you for the warm hospitality and the great recommendations throughout Sherbrooke — they truly enhanced our time here!
My wife and I have been coming here for the buffet for a few years and it is always a pleasant experience. The food is top notch and the salad bar is clean. We very much appreciate the opportunity to try new cuisine and have continued to come back occasionally since and it has not disappointed!
