Restaurant Normandin St-Hyacinthe

I put 5 stars for what it is. A good meal in a nice clean place with friendly staff for a reasonable price. I travel a lot for my work and eating out is crazy nowadays. This place is exactly what I look for when I stop for a quick meal.

There was some confusion with the kitchen bringing me the main dish before the soup. However the meat balls and mashed potatoes were delicious.nPicture of ground beef from 2nd visit.

Food is good, but the service for dining in leaves something to be desired. The last two time I've been, we've waited over an hour / hour and a half for food to arrive and the last time, it was 45 mins before we even had a waitress to take our orders because she was busy setting up tables for some other group larger than ours. We won't be dining in any more, so hopefully the take out is quicker the next time we come by.

We just had supper at this location. A first and a last for us for the Normandin chain. The kids both received shriveled and dried up carrots to eat. The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting. If you require gluten-free choices don't expect any help from the staff on suggestions other than salad minus croutons. My husband ate chicken and ribs, with what looked liked powdered mash potatoes. Yark.
