Not the best but not the worst. Rooms are clean but small, service is great and the view is spectacular! Hot water runs in the toilets so leave the seat up or the condensation will give you a big wet surprise. The mattress we had was VERY firm, almost better to have slept on the floor. We had asked for a cottage with a view but we booked last minute and got a semi detached cottage across the street from the cottages with a view. Restaurant closes at 8pm so get in early as the is literally no other place to go eat after 9pm in the whole town!
My boyfriend and I stayed here one night. We got a room with a balcony facing the St Laurent and it was beautiful. The room and bathroom were large. All basic amenities provided except microwave in the room. The staff were lovely; Sylvie, one of the receptionists, was the best! She gave us a flat rate for the room and some tickets to go whale watching. She made us feel very welcome. All staff were able to communicate in English and French. The price was pretty good for the overall experience. We would definitely stay again. The only thing we would suggest is a later check out time it was 11 which is standard. Once you get back from a boat tour at 10h30 you have to haul ass to get le petit déjeuner 07h30 -11h00 or rush in the morning to get it before you head out at 08h00.
Awesome view, we were facing the st Lawrence. Beautiful night and morning scenery. Nice lounging areas on the beach and steps outside of our room. Bad pricing though.Paid close to 340 for two nights. Not super clean and very small rooms. Food was okay.
We messed up our reservations and the hotel kindly fixed it for us at no cost even though it was our fault. The view is spectacular, with seating to view the expanse of the St. Lawrence. Basic accommodations, but comfortable enough.
Beautiful location, right on the beach. The rooms were okay, but with such a beautifu view there isnt much reason to stay in the room. Its near tadoissac, which was fun to visit and its near a great whale observatory. The restaurant was pretty good, but if you want to eat after 8pm, you're out of luck, theres like nothing opened, which i found odd. Overall good place, lots of fub things to do there and the beach is great for stargazing.
The rooms facing the river are best. Nice place to stay if in the area. Very close to where the whale boats depart. Baie St Catherine is not as busy a town as Tadoussac across the ferry. This side peace and quiet. Other side lively....you choose.
Nice little motel, friendly staff mostly french speaking only, but we worked through, our apartment was bit outdated but very clean, small funtional bath, nice look across the river, five minutes away ferry. The Restaurant is very recommendable, good daily specialties in fish.
For the price it is well worth it. The location is excellent, right by the water. The T.V did not work but we didnt really care, we were exploring all day and the tap couldnt shut off properly. Other than that, the staff were friendly.
To have a room with a view it is a great place, but don't visite the restaurant.Staff is unfriendly and the food without any taste Looks like coming directly out of the microwave.
Horrible restaurant. Burger was super dry. Salmon was ok. Veal was overcooked badly. A lot of flies in the restaurant and staff doesn't care about them. Wonder if the same is at the kitchen...
