Exquisite and rare Moroccan restaurant in the region. Plates are very tasty and good size. Price wise it's moderate considering the quantity of food. Service can be moderately slow but it's part of the experience of going to a Moroccan restaurant. The couscous was delicious. The duck is juicy and tender. The tea tastes the real deal and waiter pours it to you as if you were part of the Saharan tribes. This is an underrated restaurant that offers diversity in the city. It's a recommend
Fine cuisine with amazing quality of food, culture and atmosphere. After our ski week, we decided to explore the neighborhood restaurant. The owner welcomed us with hospitality. Their bread is fresh. Garlic snails are good. We ordered lamb, steak and duck. The steak New York strip is Amazinggggg. Tender and juicy inside, with charcoal crisp outer layer. Lamb ... I wish I can eat the whole rack of it. Well seasoned, nicely done. Duck adds another surprise, pleasant surprise. For dessert, we ordered the mint tea. Refreshing. Cash only... down the street there is an ATM
The service and food were great. We ordered the table d'hôte which included a soup/salad, an appetizer, a main course and dessert. Each course was unique and well made. It was my first time going based on the recommendation of a friend. Needless to say, I will be returning. I recommend to anyone looking for a pleasant dining experience.
We went there on a spontaneous whim. The server was prompt to seat us and take our order. And then everything went down hill. the food was terrible. the couscous was dry. the meat was tough. the soup was lukewarm. the server never came back to refill the wine or ask how we liked our experience. at the end of the meal we patiently waited 15 minutes before I went inside to ask for the check. the waitress told me that 'I forgot about you". I am honest so I paid. but do yourself a favor. skip this place. there are plenty of options in the area where you will eat well and be treated with care. A total waste of $100 .
I was there on Saturday with a friend. Looked like an interesting place to eat. The food was good, I will say that. Unfortunately, the service was way too slow. There were less than 15 patrons and three servers that evening. We had to wait so long for our salads, then again for the main course, and practically begged for our bills...twice. At one point, our server told us she’d be right back with our bill, but that she had to go to the bathroom first. Seriously? Wholly inappropriate! She was also rude and forgetful. In the end, she knocked a glass of water off the table all over me. No apology. I do NOT recommend this place.
I don't even know where to begin. To start off, I ordered a salad at 7:45 and received it at 9:30. I wish I was joking. I only stayed so long because of my family. Including the horrendously slow service, the food was mediocre and absolutely not worth the wait. My dessert was stale and hard. The place we were seated was in a sketchy basement that looked more like a home than a restaurant. Not to mention that it was very cold and not heated whatsoever. The waiter was slow and inattentive. He input a $45 tip for himself at the end of the dinner despite that being far beyond 15%. Needless to say, I am not coming back here ever again. Hope the owner can read English.
This is a little pocket of beauty at very reasonable prices. You need not be in a hurry as the great food takes some time to prepare. Well worth the waiting time as my friend and I were both very pleased with the fillet mignon and the couscous royal. Definitely well worth a visit.
While the food is good, service is really bad. We were here for about 3 hours only had 1 water refill, and we actually had to have to ask the waitress for it. We were suppose to get tea and dessert with our table d'hote and got a loud lecture from the waitress when we inquired about the status of the tea saying she's busy. While I get that she might be busy, our tone was no where near insulting or rushed. We did get up what we wanted but we felt bad for asking. If you're waiter understaffed, just hire more waiters, don't make it the customer's problem Regardless, the exchange made us leave with an ugly name in our mouth which is not only unfortunate but not the way you want to leave a reataurant
Tonight was a bad night at this restaurant. The service was much too slow and it was not the waitress...it was definitely the kitchen...We came before 6 pm ....it took ages to get the main dish. We had to cancel our Morrocan tea order to make it in time for the 8 pm opening show of the Festival of the Arts of St. Sauveur.
Food is good, but the service is HORRENDOUSLY slow. We arrived for our reservation at 6:00pm, got our appetizers at 6:45 and got our mains at 8:00pm... When the food arrived, it was pretty tasty, but not worth the super long wait.
