Restaurant Bombay Mahal

The place was crowded with people!! It was really packed at night, it's not a good place for people who need to have some space to enjoy their food. The waiter who served us was very nice but the lady at the front was extremely rude (she was most likely under a lot of stress considering how many customers there were). The meals were delicious. I would recommend this place. 🐢

Curry perfection for a good price too. I recommend the lunch specials: they come in a tray with many side dishes in small portions served with rice and naan bread. The vegetable curry is simply so good. Level of heat is mild here, but spiciness in full blow.

The food is good but most of everything else is not. The service is just horrible, probably the worst in any indian restaurant (which is saying a lot). No smile from the waiter, no hi when he comes to take your order, he just stands there like a zombie waiting for your order, doesn't come back to ask if everything is good, doesn't fill the water, doesn't open witht wine bottle for you, doesn't explain anything. He just essentially brings you the food and never comes back. The restaurant is also very tightly seated, you are basically just cramped up when you come in on evenings. So you're not going to be eating confortable either. The dining room is pretty horrible looking as well, broken down and sloppy looking overall, not well heated, nothing really indian about it. They decided to include the tip in the bill, we were a group of 8. Nothing was explained beforehand about this policy. The service does not deserve any standard tip.

To me, best indian place in town. The prices are a biiiit pricier than other places, but well worth it. If you're going to have indian, honestly just spend a few more dollars and go there (it's even BYOB ffs). You won't regret.
