Beautiful place for staying and enjoying the beauty of St Hypolite. The rooms are very good sized and the views to the lake are awesome. I'd recommend to come during the summer. Winter is fine, but they don't take enough care of the place by removing the snow or throwing salt, so that makes it harder to go anywhere. This is the second time I stay here and I can't help loving it Nearby activities: Summer: Hiking, kayak Winter: Dogs pulling sleigh, skiing, snow bikes
Arrived for a week long stay; there were minor issues with the room we had, however, the management were quick to apologize and change rooms for us. The facilities available are nice and we were able to take advantage of the swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna room. Food at the restaurant is priced well for the good quality and the spa offered a $5 discount for in house guests which is a bonus when it’s only $25 for the use of the spa plus treatment. Overall we had a good stay.
My partner and I have vacationed here twice in the winter. We love this resort. We enjoyed outdoor activities like cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and dog sledding. We also enjoyed the indoor pool and spa. We visited the wine cellar and did a wine tasting. Their restaurant is also great. We got the 3 course table d’hôte meal which was delicious. Many of the waiters are also sommeliers, so we got a bottle of wine that paired nicely with our meal. The service is fantastic. And all of this was very reasonably priced. In addition, it’s not too far from Montreal. We will be back and we would highly recommend this resort to others.
Quaint rustic property on a lake. Impeccable customer service. Spa massage was heavenly. Must have Felix show you the wine cellar and pair wines with dinner at the restaurant which serves incredible food. Would definitely stay again!Rooms: 3/5
The worst reception of any hotel/resort ever. Not even a hello, no eye contact and I was not explained anything about the resort. The internet is very dysfunctional and constantly cuts out. The water temperature of the pool was very cold and only 10 bathers allowed yet the sign said 25. Everything about this resort focuses around the administration, not the guests. The only time I've ever stayed at a hotel/resort where you have to pay extra to use the spas, but in any case they had the covers so I guess out of service or just lazy service. It's very unfortunate because it truly is a nice facility, just swap out the staff, they don't know the definition of hospitality. Has anyone ever heard of a 10am checkout?
I spent a few days in January, and I liked the place in several areas, the seclusion, the purity of air and and the serine environment... It's a picture perfect of quietness and serenity. There are tons of activities during the spring/summer time, and I'll have to come over here to check them out. Lastly, their virgin pina colada smoothie is wonderful The service is great. If you have any issues, the service people are within minutes at your front step, even better than Hilton! The Studio I got had all the amenities you would want, a fridge, microwave, coffee make, kettle for heating water, utensils, dishes, cups and mugs and a pull up sofa too!. The shower is hot and strong! I highly recommend the place! Rooms: Are very good in size and fully furnished!
Somewhat expensive restaurant and forgetful waiter. No option to choose tip amount. Sauna was enjoyable and pool, hot tub. No XCountry groomed trails.
This is the second year my family has come to this resort, and the FIRST time we wanted to return somewhere so badly we inquired about booking the day after we left last year. The staff are so wonderful, the offerings for the whole family for dry and wet activities are wide and at no extra charge, and the options for different accommodations were great for our extended family group. We got mostly comfort plus rooms but one condo or chalet so we had a central gathering space with a kitchen. It was perfect! Keep in mind the comfort plus rooms are a bit dimly lit and seem like a dated decor, but it is really a perfect option for a simple stay. The staff are also very helpful if you need something. I do recommend however bringing all your own toiletries as it's very limited, including soaps they do provide dish soap and detergent for the ones with kitchens. They have trails with great views, kayaks and canoeing, axe throwing although now they are little ones, pickle ball NEW!, tennis and more. There is sometimes some difficulty when booking with a language barrier as most staff at the resort primarily speak French but there is enough English understanding or someone on staff who speaks English who can help.
Such a special place ! I love spending few days at the Auberge, wether it is for a romantic getaway, family time or some alone time. There are some activities for everyone in summer and winter swimming pool, spa, hikes .... The place is so peaceful and beautiful, the staff is always so nice and the restaurant is amazing. This place never disappoints and I would recommend highly recommend.
Where do I start… I would say that this hidden gem an hour outside Montréal is the perfect get away for couples or families. The restaurant was 10/10 best food and service I’ve had in years! Shout out to servers Étienne and Felix! They were very friendly and professional. Even the poolside snack bar was great and reasonably priced. The room was a little old looking but it ads to the country charm cabin vibe. The bed was very comfortable and the room came with a mini fridge which is perfect for snacks and cold drinks. Lastly, I was very impressed with how many activities there were. You will not be bored that’s for sure. I would recommend bringing cushions for the beach chairs as they are wooden. I can’t wait to go back! I think I’ll stay more than 2 nights.
