Cleanliness 0. There was garbage, clothing under beds, and towels from the previous guests. Coffee pot was full of mould. There was pots full of water in the cabinets. Cabins are nice and fully equipped but unfortunately for what they charge I would defiantly find accommodations elsewhere next time.Rooms: 1/5
Outdated cabins. Cabins were barely cleaned. Plates and bowls had dried food on them. Our 2 year old found a steak knife in one of the bedrooms which isn't a surprise if you go down a few comments to see someone found a bottle of booze left in one of the bedrooms. On the last day there was mouse that ran across the kitchen. When we left we told the front desk about the mouse and their reply was "we will make sure it is taken care of for the next guest". I called the owner Vince a week later and he blamed us and said I made everything up and its my fault I didn't say anything while we were there trying to enjoy our trip. Vince said we lied about a steak knife in a bedroom. Vince also said we lied about our kids crying and wanting to leave because "all the toddlers I have see laugh when they see a mouse". These cabins and the owner are a complete mess. Avoid at all costs. Do yourself a favor and read the other reviews if you plan on booking
A group of us were up for a bachelor party in feb., cabins were clean but were under stocked when it came to the kitchen ie. no can opener, no oven trays, no paper towel, BBQ wouldn’t work, not enough garbage bags, Showers would go back and forth from hot to cold on their own We had an ice shack rented but the holes were not drilled were supposed to be thankfully we brought our own auger, shacks were well stocked with low quality wood. Had higher expectations but was a decent place to stay
The cabins are nice and would have been very cozy if they had been clean. There was sand all over the floor and and there was a half empty bottle of liquor behind to the bed. But after an extensive clean we had a great weekend Rooms: 2/5
Cabin we stayed in was overpriced for what you get., says it sleeps 6, only has 2 beds. Hot water stunk very bad until we got fresh water into the heater. Were not supplied with wash cloths or drying towel, asked for wash cloths and towel and still did not recieve one. Had to use face cloth and hand towel to wash our dishes. Cabin is Lacking maintenance overall for the pricing set. Upon arriving one of the beds wasnt even on the bed frame and the bedding appeared to be made by a child. Shower is very old and lacks preasure. Our 2 night stay came out to $620 taxes in, i expect more for this pricing.
This place is not the best for taking for your boat, yes it has 4 lanes for high traffic docking times but mass disorganization isn't the word, you have people holding up traffic cleaning boats and tieing down but the lack of parking is crazy. Very highly disorganized. I have recently started staying at Serenity bay 5 minutes up the road and it's so much better. Everyone is decent and it's not massively overly populated. I enjoy the hell out of the fishing at this lake but if I'm paying for docking fees I should not have to wait 45 min to an hour to dock my boat while people clean, tie down and unload their boat. For high traffic times, highly not recommended.
Had an amazing time with friends and fishing on Tobin Lake. Would 100% recommend as it was a great cabin with lots of beds. Giving 5 Stars, but the only thing that would have made it a perfect stay would have been an air conditioning unit as the fans were insufficient for the high temperatures.
Staff helpful and friendly, decent convenience store. But, cabins very old, uncomfortably small and somewhat dirty. Mattresses old, bedding old and yellow, rooms smelly. Decks and furniture felling apart. Dusty. Too expensive for what you are getting.Rooms: 2/5
The resort is nice. We came to do some ice fishing and stay in one of the cabins. The cabin itself was nice and clean but couch and beds were uncomfortable. The worst part of the stay was the customer service. We booked in and the lady who takes care of bookings was supposed to be waiting in the cabin. She wasn’t there and so went back to the office and the attendant told us the lady took care of all bookings so left our cell no to get in touch with us. She never called us so next day went back to the office and no one was there. We had wanted to rent one of their fishing huts for the day and waited a while. Then seeing as no one had contacted us and it was lunch time and half the day was gone we packed up and headed home. Very disappointed and won’t be back .
Great staff, great accommodations. Stayed 4 nights. The cabins are a little rustic. But your busy fishing and swimming so the accommodations are perfect as your gonna be bringing sand in. They supply plates and cutlery and cooking pots and pans. Recommend bringing a sharp knife and a big pan. They have a bbq you can use. The staff have become like family. Talk with the marina staff and they let you know where fishing is good.
