Door County’s First and Only Cheese Factory Tour!
Looking for an original educational experience or field trip idea? Why not learn about one of the most delicious products that Wisconsin has to offer and the family tradition of cheese making? Visit our local cheese factory and:
• Learn about the family tradition of cheese making.
• Discover why cheese curds squeak and why cheese is yellow
• Enjoy a 5 minute video of the cheese making process
• Sample our fresh cheeses
We make cheese curds fresh everyday!
Cheese factory tours are $3 per person. Our friendly and knowledgeable staff will show a short video of and guide you through the cheese making process. Due to the small size of our factory and restrictions on visitors in production areas, the tour is limited.
Tours generally take half an hour and are offered Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday at 8:00 a.m. & 10:00 a.m. also on Thursday and Friday at 8:00 a.m. Reservations are required.
Renard’s Cheese is owned and operated by Chris and Ann Renard. Chris Renard is a third generation cheesemaker and has earned the Master Cheesemaker designation. The family is committed to maintaining high quality, gourmet handcrafted cheese.
Please note:
• Because we are an active manufacturing facility, we allow limited access in production areas.
• No open toe shoes allowed on tours
• No photographs may be taken in production areas
• Unfortunately, we are not able to accommodate walk-in tours. Please reserve your tour in advance by telephoning Debbie or Ann at 920-825-7272.
