Remington YMCA in Quarry Park

The infrastructure is great - new, modern, clean. It is refreshing to use such facilities in comparison to other aging aquatic places. The personnel was friendly, however wanted a bit too much information when purchasing admission. The pool loses 2 stars for the universal changing room with no alternative, unless you are a paying exclusive member of the YMCA. This is an attack on privacy and traditional values.

Love this center. So much equipment and loads of floor space to do mat work. Parking is also always available. Not as busy as other locations and I never have trouble finding or using equipment. The facility is always exceptionally clean. I haven't had the opportunity to use the pools or library yet, but like the gym space, always seems to have just the right amount of people using them.

Really warm pool compared to others in the city, so nice for me and my toddler. Small spray park was enjoyed. Communal change rooms which is a bit different but actually really liked it as you can all get ready as a family in their large shower/change stalls. Lots of lockers. Will be back

Hot tub is never working. Pools are closed often. Rude staff. Equipment out of service. They said they needed to increase the membership to cover costs of maintenance and repair which isn't happening, instead we're paying for broken equipment and closed amenities.

its a nice gym, pretty expensive but you get a lot for it, if you use all the amenities. I just cancelled my membership as I got tired of seeing the only two machines I use being out of service yet again. One has been OOS for a month now and I just said to hell with it and cancelled.

I'm all about acceptance and the aspirational goals of society but reality is often different. Universal change rooms is great in theory but until we all move forward as society, probably when my kids are middle aged. We MUST have security or someone monitoring things, this setup is too easy to abuse, and allows teenagers to steal from lockers, which my wife caught breaking into ours and they just move to the next when confronted. A simple selfie stick or extended arm let's you reach over the change room door and get pictures.

First time in this building, and we signed my 2.5 year old up for swimming lessons. The instructor Laura was great this morning and the water was warm. I loved that we had some time at the splash area after the lesson!

I have to say I enjoyed going to this Y. I’m only going to this location because I'm waiting for the Seton Y to open the pools. Would I make this my go to gym? Probably Not but if I lived in that area then I would. I'm not a fan of the comunial washroom idea, it's too busy and messy. I would rather prefer the traditional way. It does have plus membership which could be super handy, avoid all the kids! Overall it's a really impressive building. Love the glass finish on the basketball courts.

We arrived around 3:30pm on Sunday for family pool time and the staff for customer service told us the swimming pool is fullThey said they accpet limit for the swimming lesson as well. and we had to wait at least 30 mins or more. We waited for 30 mins but they didn't call us yet and we saw many families came out to leave and it looked pretty empty for the public pool. So I came to ask them why we still can't go and one of the staffs looked very frustrated and said 'there's swimming lesson and they will let us know when it is available.' I FELT really not good cuz she spoke to me pretty rudely. It was right after 4pm and they close 5pm so they might didn't want to let us in?? Even they should be nice to YMCA members. All staffs never smiled at us and talked to us nicely. Comparing to Seton YMCA, the service at Remington YMCA was super bad. I will never take my family or friend there!!!

Loved being a vendor for the day. Lots of families visited and many purchases. Will definitely go back to vend.
