Very reasonably priced. The carriage ride was a bit short and not very informative but still fun. The gift shop could use a bit more relevant selection. There are so many cool carriages though! And enough interactive exhibits to keep little ones interested. We spent over 2 hours there and got through most of it.
A thoroughly interesting museum that is worth a visit. They have an enormous collection of carriages, the oldest of which seems to be from 1852 France. Made by a variety of companies across Canada and the world, with the special importance on Canadian made, particularly by the McLachlin company, Which became General Motors Canada. There’s a lot to read, but just a visual walk-through is amazing as well. The staff were quite friendly and engaging, particularly the carriage driver and guide. Pay for the carriage ride. It’s a fun little jaunt around the property, and quite informative.
It's worth visiting this museum by driving a long way from Calgary. The different kinds of historic carriages are well maintained. It'll be good if they can post the schedule of the movie show time of each day.
This is such a gem of a museum! There are so many restored carriages, it’s unbelievable! I liked the informational displays telling the story of a particular carriage and the times it’s been used, so much history learned on a single museum visit! Me and my kids loved it The carriage ride was fun as well.nnIf you are visiting Waterton National Park, I highly recommend making a drive to Remington Carriage Museum, it’s just about 40 minutes away but so-so worth it! I think even driving from Calgary to this museum is totally worth it.
We read about this museum by chance while travelling in Canada. The exhibition is incredibly informative and the number of exhibits is enormous. The stories and explanations behind them are wonderful. Not just for horse lovers and cowboys. The diversions was well worth it. Thank you for this beautiful exhibition.
