Rode the REM just for fun from central station to Brossard, and it was such an amazing ride.nnThe cars are smooth and comfortable and the views were spectacular. Specially going over the Champlain Bridge and approaching the Montreal skyline.
REM Brossard Station is a game-changer for those commuting to Montreal. With plenty of parking, including spots for electric vehicles, it eliminates the usual parking headaches when heading into the city.nnFor me, it’s especially convenient since my studded tires aren’t allowed in indoor parking garages.nThis station lets me park stress-free and hop on the REM without worry. A great option for anyone looking for a smoother, more efficient way to get into Montreal!
The math for the parking is just terrible as many mention. Why even create this if it can't handle the flow of people that it's suppose to handle? Now we are all competing to arrive earlier and earlier to find parking just like any other station. Removed panama parking, removed chevrier parking... It's just getting worse. I guess the plan is that we have to bike to the REM..nnAlso, in Quebec it snows, so why does it stop everytime it snows?
Has ample parking and bus connections. Very clean and modern. I did not see any restrooms available, which is disappointing considering this is a terminus station and it is far from any other public restrooms. Another issue is the small number of ticketing machines and validation terminals. On a Friday evening, I saw long lines outside the station to enter the long lines inside the station to buy tickets. If possible, buy tickets/passes in advance or at another station!
The REM provides easy access to the city of Montreal. A train arrives at the station every 8 minutes. Everything is brand new and clean. The station has parking for about 3,000 cars. You can purchase train tickets at the machines in the station or you can purchase from friendly station staff. The station is also secure with many guards. Only negative was the bathrooms are located in the bus station. Strange, they didn't put any in the train station.
