I went today for the first time no prior microderm. experience with my Groupon 2 Microderm. treatments. The receptionist was very friendly and polite, I was offered water before my treatment, Gina came by and introduced herself as I filled out the new client paperwork. I did not wait or my appointment and we basically started right at scheduled timed I came in 5 mins early for the paperwork part. During the procedure, yes - the up-sell is real.. Having said that, I listened and absorbed all the info and politely let Gina know that I'll think about it. I agreed to additional mask + collagen treatment $40 extra and so far so good. My skin feels calm, no dryness or redness at all. I scheduled my 2nd appointment in a month - I'll update this review then. Just to note - if you're reading this as you've read all the other negative reviews - yes, Gina does mention products and services and other deals and so forth, but I did NOT feel pressured. I have had enough facials in my life when all products used in the facial were being "sold" to me.
What an amazing experience. Upon entering, I was warmly greeted by Gina who offered me a tea and started my microdermabrasion treatment. Great conversation, and Gina even helped me work through a plan to fix some acne that I have on my chin. I'm so grateful as I've been to so many different places and she was the first to ever consider and give me solutions to a problem I've dealt with for a while. Definitely going back and you should go check it out!
Purchased a groupon for 2 microdermabrasion sessions, at the recommendation of two coworkers. They advised to request Stella for the service however i was informed i wasn't allowed to choose and that 5 days before my appointment "we don't know their schedules yet"...I ended up with Gina. My coworkers warned that products are pushed on you and that upgrades during the treatment are as well. I'm a newbie when it comes to facial procedures and stressed that my skin is very sensitive. I also mentioned i was seeing a derm soon and did not want to try any new products until consulting with her. the first session went well, no upgrades or additional products added and my skin felt smoother for a whole week after in the middle of a very harsh winter. the second session, i was recovering from a cold so i mentioned i already had very dry skin around my nose and lips as a result. Gina respected that during the treatment however ended up putting an acid on top of my whole face without getting my consent. it burned at the time and now 2 days later my skin has been flaking like crazy. i understand they are well versed in skincare however you should respect your clients wishes and concerns. In general the customer service is not the best. You can be an expert at something but if you come off as condescending and "its my way or the highway", you wont see a lot of returning customers. They also appear to be a bit disorganized when it comes to scheduling/follow ups/reminders. I don't wish to be contacted to resolve this issue.
I've been to Gina a couple of times now for facial treatments IPL/MICRO and she has been very professional with educated information on what to recommend for my skin. She gives me recommendations for the best possible results without being too pushy about sales. I am very happy with my skin so far!!
Gina is a straight up, intelligent woman with a nursing background and I trust her implicitly with my skin treatments. She understands that I and I am not subjected to heavy sales pitches, which is often the case in this industry. She is punctual, clean, well spoken, and organized. The products are not inexpensive but are excellent quality and I see definite results in the health of my skin since beginning treatments 10 months ago. I recommend Gina and Rejuvaderme most highly.
I was recently in Toronto for a conference and decided to get a treatment done for my age spots and it hasn't even been a week and all my spots have practically disappeared. I was a bit of a skeptic at the beginning but I am a believer now. Wow, it looks amazing and I will definitely be returning for more treatments. Gina was very knowledgeable and patient with all my questions and concerns. I love the location and the space was beautiful. Staff were amazing and overall experience was excellent. Very disappointed with the service I received. The staff applied vaseline all over my face before applying the chemical peel--the most ineffective method to performing this peel. A waste of money and my time. Update: since I bought a Groupon, I was required to go back the 2nd time, and have no regretted it ever since. Irena did my chemical peel, she was so thorough, detailed and careful when she performed this treatment. She made sure I left feeling extremely satisfied with my service. I've decided to come back a 3rd time and paid full price for my 3rd treatment, and it was even better then the 2nd treatment! A lady named Gina treated my skin. As I got to know her better through our discussion, I found out that she has a medical background which made me realize that she knew exactly what she was doing and talking about. To summarize my recent two experience, Rejuvaderme's aestheticians are not cookie cutters, they perform their service based on your skin's personal needs. I'm going to continue to go back.
Had a great experience here! I bought a package of microdermabrasion from groupon and it was such a pleasant and relaxing appointment. Read the other reviews here, and I honestly cannot relate to the negative ones. Speaking from my own experience, the owner was polite and informative of all the product in her store. She's going to help me with all my skin damage and acne. And the esthetician who performed my micro was very gentle. I'm looking forward to my other appointments :
I visited Rejuvederme Medical Aesthetics a few months back for a Microdermabrasion appointment. There was a promotion at the time to book two sessions, which I did. For my first appointment, I waited over an hour past my appointment time to see a technician. I was uninformed ahead of time with a phone call or email that they were running behind for the day. I had come straight from work, and had makeup on which I was told was OK - the technician did a terrible job at removing it and I left feeling as though I had to wash my face over again on my own. After my appointment, I let the receptionist know that I would call in to book my second appointment, as I did not have my current work schedule. In my head, I honestly wasn't sure if I would return.. Nevertheless, a couple months later, I called back to book my second appointment this time I would arrive with no makeup on! I was told I was no longer welcome at the spa, as I had two no-shows on my file. I explained that couldn't have been possible as I never booked a second appointment with them, until I was calling in now to do so. I never at any point received a phone call indicating that I missed my "scheduled appointment", nor did I receive an email. I asked the receptionist repeatedly if she could have accidentally placed another client's appointment on my file, or if she had misspelled my name and was looking at another client's file. She was extremely rude on the phone, proceeded to let me know that my second service was no longer available to me and that I was no longer welcome. I insisted on receiving a reimbursement for the service in which I had paid for, which I was told would not be possible. She was unable to provide me with any information on who the appointment was scheduled with or how email/phone. I have a strong feeling someone else's appointment was accidentally scheduled on my file, and I am a firm believer in spa etiquette 24 cancellation time, however when a customer is indicating to you that this was a mistake, and as the business your response is that you are no longer welcome to come back, customer service points & my review = A BIG ZERO
Thanks to Gina I'm continually complimented by friends who say how great my skin looks. I want to be candid in this review to give people information that's realistic and usable. I've been a client of Rejuvederme for several years. I started with laser hair removal. After a while these treatments were successful so I switched to the skin care treatments. I asked Gina what treatments would be beneficial for me at the time I was in my late 40s. She recommended IPL and microdermabrasion, which I've had done as needed since. I really appreciated how she had educated me on the treatments she was performing but more importantly how these treatments and the skincare products she carries can target my redness issues. She has also been considerate of my budget. When I told her I was interested in the skinceuticals products but as they are pricey I'd prefer to buy individually instead of all at once she suggested what order to buy them. The crowning glory of my experience at Rejuvederme is Thermage. I'm such an enormous fan of this treatment. I'm now firmly in my fifties, and although my skincare regimen is doing it's job keeping my skin supple and bright, gravity does eventually take over. I was recently at a resort where I went to the spa, the manicurist commented on how good my skin looked and asked me what skincare products I used. When I compare my skin to that of my friends and sisters I can see the difference of continual care and I gotta say....I'm addicted to the compliments.
