I'll start off by saying the service staff was great. Very nice. Very clean restaurant. The fries were good. The burgers, very burnt. All we could taste was char. Supposed to be a 1/3 lb. They were barely a 1/4 lb. Perhaps they were a third pound before they get charred down to nothing. Also, my friend took his first bite into his burger and pulled a chicken wing tip out of his burger. See the picture. We should have ordered the chicken as the cook definitely was having a bad burger day. We'll try them again in a few months. See what happens. We always believe in giving a bar/restaurant a second chance.
Stopped by looking for a good fish fry on Friday while heading up North. Walked into the restaurant sign said 2-piece fish served until 2. When we got to the table it was 1:45. It took 10 minutes for somebody to come to take on the order. I then ordered the 2 piece fish and she said we no longer have the 2 piece. It has to be a 3 piece fish and I said the sign and the doors said the 2 piece fish until 2 and she said now it's after 2. Took another 25 minutes plus to get our food when I received the fish plate. It was just a baked potato and 2 rock-hard pieces of overcooked fish. I had to ask for tartar sauce twice. I ordered sour cream which I had to request twice also. There is no cole slaw nothing. My partner ordered Reuben and onion rings. The Reuben was very dry and tasteless with very little dressing. The onion rings were cold and greasy I asked for more dressing for the reuben, It never came, very disappointed in the food and the service.
Really great food! Had the smokehouse burger and it was made to perfection with waffle fries. Price is a bit steep but worth it if you want a genuinely awesome burger and fries! Great job!
Was a very busy Saturday night with 2 birthday parties there plus an almost full bar . The staff did an excellent job with the staff they had on hand with the amount of customers that were there.Food: 5/5
**This is not a review of Red Lodge Grille**. This is a review of the couple who dined there on Valentines Day, Tuesday February 14th, 2023 around 7:00pm. You and your husband were middle aged and sitting in a booth by a window. You had dark hair and you were wearing a dark jacket/top. You ordered the Shrimp Special. I was hoping to see your "1 star review" here, but you probably posted it on Facebook for your gaggle of 67 Facebook friends to see. This was our first time at Red Lodge, we just moved to Waverly. It was clean inside, seemed like a chill place. It was noticeably busy inside, but what was more noticeable was that the restaurant was short staffed. The server taking care of us and you, the poor thing, was clearly overwhelmed with the amount of tables being seated and she was having a hard time. We were seated at the table next to your booth. I sat behind your husband and listed to you complain about how long your food was taking to be brought to you. You also complained to your waitress for charging you for "too many" Bacardi drinks. At one point, it sounded like you were contemplating leaving without paying when your food was taking too long. We felt terrible for your server. We felt so bad that we paid for our round of drinks and left, to avoid overwhelming her even more. You saw me looking at you when I got up to use the restroom. We made eye contact. Then, you got up to use the restroom, and planted a big wet kiss on your hubby's face before you walked away. As if you were saying "he knows I am a terrible person, but he loves me anyway." That was cute. I love that for you. I hope you and your husband are doing well. By that I mean, please never go out to eat again. Next year, please consider staying home for Valentine's Day, and be miserable at home together. You may be doing the entire city of Waverly a favor by never going out to eat again. You, as a person, are the reason that restaurants are understaffed. You are the reason that your Valentine's Day sucked, and I am sorry that I lacked the courage to say this to your face. We will be returning to Red Lodge Grille to try their menu, and I am looking forward to that.
chicken wing were little hard and garlic sticks were missing flavor and saw tasted just like tomato no flavor but service was goodFood: 3/5
Went Saturday night at 5:30. Lots of room. Got seated and waited on immediately. Bailey was our waitress and was very personable and attentive. Drinks were good. Food was good. Everyone had the walleye dinner except Cindy had the special blackened salmon. Salads and dressing’s were good. Wild rice soup real good.
Decided to try the Red Lodge Grille as we pass it often. Service was good. Food was good. Only thing I didn't care for was the Cajun Steak dill pickle soup. Other than that the Cajun walleye fingers, Patty melt, and mushroom swiss burger were all good. Atmosphere was low key and relaxed. Not very busy for Sunday at lunchtime. Will be back again.
First time going there with my husband. Great food and friendly staff.Food: 5/5
