Late with this review - My husband and I took our son on a night charter August 2021 with Dennis as our guide. Was the most amazing experience. We had never been bow fishing before, but our son loves fishing in general. We didn’t catch a thing but we had lots of opportunities and had a great time anyway. Dennis took us to all the good spots and a couple of times each of us shot through and the fish pulled off. We would do this again in a heartbeat. Hopefully we can come again and bring our other kids as well. It was a beautiful night and lots of gorgeous views of the river and the dells, so it’s a two for one boat/river ride and bow fishing session! Dennis goes above and beyond to make sure people have a good time. You don’t want to miss this!
I booked this trip for my husband since he loves fishing, but our whole family had a blast and will DEFINITELY go again. We took the day tour and will be trying a night charter next time, but would do day time again as well. We had Brent as our guide, he is a great guy and knowledgeable fisherman. He helped our daughter with the cross bow the whole time, took us to a variety of spots that all had a ton of fish, and was very experienced navigating the Wisconsin river. Definitely a must do!
10/10 would do this again! Our tour guide, Brent, was very knowledgeable about the area and just an all around chill dude. Very helpful, as we had some fishing experience, but never with a bow! When we find ourselves back in the area… we will definitely be booking again!
We had a great time! Dennis was a fantastic guide and was a lot of fun! He put us on plenty of fish. He was knowledgeable of history of the area and had fun stories from previous outings. Great experience for anyone, regardless of experience.
I don't fish at all.. But, what a blast this is! Beautiful views at night! Boat was large and comfortable to move around. Our guide, Clint, was patient with a family of new shooters. We saw lots of Herron and an otter too. We didn't catch anything as we instinctively kept aiming too high. But we had a blast and can't wait to come back qnd try again. Don't miss this tour!
Was an absolute blast! Brent was our guide and he has by far the best eye for seeing fish I have ever seen! On the ride to the fishing locations he told us about the history of the river, past fishing experiences, and even some ghost stories. Once we got to the locations he gave us pointers and helped track down some fish. I would highly recommend doing this!!
This is a must try experience in the Dells. We had Dennis himself and he had to deal with two brand new bow fishers. It was a phenomenal experience and we will definitely be back. Could not have enjoyed ourselves more.
Absolutely fantastic experience. Brent was very friendly with a significant amount of knowledge of the area. Every spot we reached had fish even though we missed every shot. It's important to remember that not every trip will yield a fish but the experience is well worth it. 10/10 would do it again!
This was our 1st time bow fishing and it was a lot of fun. Definitely a learning curve from traditional bow hunting that my group is used too. The experience was great and great scenery. Dennis was knowable and kept us entertained for sure. Definitely recommend and we will definitely be out bow fishing again.
Have been on this tour many times and each one is a different experience. Never a bad one. Always great guidance by who has taken me out on the river. But sometimes the fish are so abundant that you don’t get time to talk. The guides always know where to go as I’ve never came back empty handed on the handful of times I’ve gone. I have lived in the area all my life and I have to say the breathtaking view the river has at night on these trips is like nothing I’ve ever seen before. Price is worth every penny just to take the trip at night but adding the factor of activities to do along the way is just an added bonus. Just remember to aim low when you go.
