90% of the drivers have become vindictive and go out of their way to make you suffer. Constantly skipping stops so they can smoke in the bus stop shelters or flirt with other passengers.
Drivers don't pay attention and will blow past stops. Customer service is beyond rude and will spin anything to make it your fault. No accountability from anyone. An absolute joke of a transit system
Usually the buses are really good for myself, but when they are late, especially early mornings for school, they are not, which is understandable. However, my bus just reached bower terminal, and i got off trying to get on the number 3. The 3 just drove off within about 5 seconds of the 2 getting to the terminal. I started running to catch it, and the driver didn't see or hear me. All I ask is wait at least 20 to 30 seconds before leaving. I know you are late, but it can't hurt to wait a little longer when a bus just arrives at a terminal.
I've seen busses *regularly* over 10m late or early to stops, so good luck. The app doesn't actually track the busses, nor do they update the hours of service when changes occur. Even on the scale of Covid??//changes lasting well over duration of months Nigh a poor experience almost every time I use Red Deer Transit
Usually late by 2-8 minutes every morning going in bound, but always make sure that the transfers we need are held at the station. If you only give yourself 5 minutes to get from your stop to school/work then it's really your own fault. The drivers arent accommodating just you. Saves me from walking over an hour to and from school every day. also love having 2 of the route 5 drivers say good morning every day they're on this route.
If I could give 0 stars I would, red deer transit really needs work!
I'm only giving a star cause I have to. When we dad and I went to buy a air of tickets to the south mall. The lady working the till was very rude about us having to know the exact address so she can look it up on google. Dad and I are tourists so obviously we wouldn't know that. Treated us like idiots. She then spoke in such a tone to my father that implied that he was a complete idiot about how we don't need tickets. so after we managed to convince her to give us some spare change we had to ask a driver who was exiting his bus about which bus we needed. After a long drawn out sigh. He told us 1. All in all. Worst bus station I've ever been too.
The bus drivers minus 2 or 3 are all quite rude and make you feel like an idiot for asking a question. They also don't wait for people to sit down before driving away, my five year old has lost his balance or fallen a few times.
I had a horrible experience not once or twice but three times with the same driver, who then was extremely rude to my mother as well. I filed a complaint with the customer service and requested that a higher up supervisor named denis call me to resolve this as i dont want to have my complaint ignored again. Denis didnt call me a supervisor named richard called me and told me that i don't get to talk to denis and that it wasnt how things work around there. I respect the policy and procedures they have i place but as a customer i feel like i should have the right to escalate my concern/complaint if it hasnt been dealt with. I tried to explain to richard what happened he asked me why would the driver do that or say that and i said i dont know. I was getting upset because i felt as if he wad blaming me. He made me so upset i was in tears and he hung up on me. I went to city hall and got denis' number. Called him and he saif was already alerted that i was calling. He saif he would sort it out and get back to me by wednesday the 25th of october. He still hasnt called me back. I am not happy with this. I feel un appreciated as a paying and regular customer.
The bus drivers are rude & ignorant.
