It began with using the machine that changes coins to bills. After using it I asked if there was a charge, whim I fully expected. I was spoken to like I was an imbecile and told if I’d read the agreement I would have seen that there was. Okay, having a bad day lady? I did my shopping, let me stop and add. I am not only 73 and use a cane because I broke my hip not long ago. I went to self checkout. Put my purchases in the bag I had brought with me. I had purchased a sale item of 24 bottles go water along with a few other items. Once I scanned, I placed the articles in the bag and the machine said to remove my bag, which I did. These articles had not been paid for yet as I was just getting my wallet out and trying to locate my optimum card. I had tried to get the attention of an employee when I started to see if I could get assistance lifting the bottles of water. I was ignored so I just carried on. That same employee, I assumed might be coming to assist me, said nothing. Put my bag back on the tray. I said the machine had told me to remove it. Without a word she began to dig through the bag and then decided instead to put the bag in the floor and remove and check each item had been scanned. I even offered to help. Not one word was spoken by this woman, I would have been fine if she had apologized and said it was part of her job but instead I stood there, humiliated, while other customers watched this procedures. Once she had checked everything, again nothing was said, she walked away leaving g me to repackage my groceries. If I hadn’t been so shocked, in retrospect, I should have just left the groceries right where she put them and walked out of the store. I would usually not be bothered if this was handled politely, but the more I thought about it, the more humiliated and angry I am I see I cannot complain to the BBB as you are not affiliated. Now all your bad reviews make sense. Shame on your staff for treating an elderly and obviously disabled person so shamelessly.
Had to go to different superstore bc this was their meat selection!!! I’m not feeding this to my family. I spoke with manager said someone could get very ill from this, and all he said was I’ll deal with it tomorrow morning. There is meat that isn’t even 30% off and it’s brown and green!!! The section smelt horrible!!! Don’t shop here for meat!
Get your $hit together Superstore!! I have looked for Asiago cheese for 4 months now and never see it anymore. Just a bunch of expired junk, empty shelves, and price jumps.nIf you do shop here pay close attention to the expiry date on what you get. I could look all day and find expired stuff but I will just show this example.nSeveral items I buy on a regular basis are rarely or never there anymore! Even juices. At least today there were only a few smashed eggs on floor of fridge. I think I posted it directly to the store before.
EXTREMELY RUDE EMPLOYEE. ACCUSED OF SHOPLIFTING?nnSeriously, I've never been so insulted at any store like this before. If you want to be insulted and accused of stealing, just head over to the self check out and start using the scanning gun to scan your items. You can do it with no problems at Home Depot, but apparently its not allowed at Superstore as the employees will be more than happy to cause a huge scene accusing you of by-passing their shoplifting technology.nnTurns out that if you use the scanning gun, it by-passes the scale without setting off any alarms. Who knew? I sure didn't. I just used the scanning gun because it was right there and I was frustrated that their normal scanner wasn't picking up the barcode after multiple tries.nnIf you don't want me to use the scanning gun, that's perfectly fine. But there's no reason to be rude about it. Employees here need to do a hell of a lot better. Definitely the last time I step inside this store or any superstore for a long time, at least until they figure out how to not treat every paying customer as a potential thief.
