I'm VERY happy with this daycare. I was extremely nervous to send my one year old daughter to daycare, especially with the fact that she had only been around a handful of family members since birth. I never sent my older kids to daycare because I was able to stay home with them. Also, my daughter was very fussy whenever I had to leave her, so I knew daycare was going to be challenging for the two of us. We dealt with a week of crying when I dropped her off at first. Then a few weeks of battling colds and the flu because her immune system had to adjust to being around the other kids. After all of that then I noticed my little girl getting excited and happy to see her teachers in the morning then smiling and laughing with them in the evening. This observation lead to me being happy as well. That's how I can tell she's in great hands. She's happy, obviously well fed and pretty exhausted when I pick her up to go home. Again, I'm VERY happy with Reach For the Stars and apparently so is my little one.
I usually don’t leave reviews especially not nice ones but I just had to. I “worked” for reach for the stars daycare for one day before quickly deciding this wasn’t the center for me.There were many valid reasons Very unwelcoming to sum it up, unprofessional is an understatement. I had the FLU & STREP a day later also.. I’m sure it was connected because Ms. Lisa told me she had 4 teachers out due to being sick and having flu, so I suspect they need to do better at cleaning. Over a month later haven’t received pay still so I knew I made the right decision. Wouldn’t leave my child there is all I would say. Didn’t see a learning environment or room for growth in teaching. Bad vibe from director. No where I would want to be for a check.
My son attends reach for the stars and I must say he loves both the director and all of the teachers before attending reach for the stars I was trying to teach my son how old he is and how to show people a few months there and he’s repeating almost anything he hears, can show and tell you how old he is. If you communicate with Ms. Lisa what you exact needs are she will try her best to help and work with you
Hi, My name is Lisa the owner of Reach for the Stars Childcare Academy, I've been owning several childcare facilities for over 16 years, I will be receiving my doctorate's degree in early childhood education next year. I would like to formerly apologize to all parents reading these negative reviews. No childcare facility is perfect, but my staff and I strive for excellence. It is unfortunate that people use these google reviews to unleash their anger when they are dismissed from a job. They don't understand by posting these bad, untrue remarks, that it don't only hurt the owner it hurts the workers who work so hard, the children who are enjoying the environment, the parents who work hard to provide a safe haven for their children, and also new clients searching for a safe environment for their children. The times that these people put in to post these false reviews could be time that they could use to help a child read, volunteer at a local daycare center or shelter to positively help children. Sometimes working with children are Teachers, directors, teacher's assistants, janitors, and food prep workers that don't get the recognition they should.I will like to go on record to thank all my workers for their tremendous job that they do on a daily bases. I am so thankful that out of the daycare centers in the world they have decided to work at my center and share their educational knowledge with us. We have several parents that are happy with our services and we are so happy that they have entrusted their children with us. We also have a parent committee that consist of 5 parents new and old who volunteer their time at the center for field trips, monthly class monitoring and they call to welcome all new coming clients. This summer our children are enjoying our summer camp where we provide daily walking trips, weekly dance class, monthly field trips, and daily computer lab. I have devoted my life to working with children, the only recognition i need is to continue to see the smiles on their little faces. With all my degree's and experience I could of worked any where but i thank God that he entrusted me with his little angles.
My kids were recently going here for the past 7 months but due to moving they are no longer. This facility has come a long way since then In A GREAT WAY. It seemed to be struggling with staff at first and I thought about removing my kids, but I voiced my concerns and Lisa the owner appreciated that. The ladies are very attentive and always gives me daily feedback of my kids day my youngest has learned so much. Lisa and staff Thank you for looking after my girls Amilah and Alaylah.
Very very surprised about the negative reviews about Mrs Lisa and her child care center . My children have been attending this facility for the last 6 years and I am a current single parent. I have never experienced or saw any of these acts that have been portrayed by the old laid off employees. Mrs Lisa has always been very welcoming to my ad
This is the worst daycare I ever been to. The workers and owner is very unprofessional, and the kids just sit at a table for hours. One day me and my 4 month old son had to stand out in the cold at 630 am because the owner said she wasn't ready to open the door. It is not clean enough, and I wouldn't recommend anyone to bring their child here. They deserve no stars!! ANYBODY THATS GIVING TGEM GOOD REVIEWS IS FAMILY OR FRIENDS OR SAD TO SAY PARENTS THAT REALLY HAVE NO CHOICE..THE STARS ..NUMBERS 2.1 DON'T LIE!!!
As a first time single parent I didn’t really know much about daycare searching or what to really look for. I went into Reach for the stars and received a brief tour on demand and got all the information I needed. The staff is really nice, its very well kept and my son comes home everyday happy.
I’m losted for words! I came to google just to get the number to Reach to check enrollment status. Seeing all these reviews really just confirmed everything I thought about this daycare. Still I was going to try them out because I thought it was just a bad day for them on the day I stopped in. Back in May around mother’s day holiday I stopped here to check them out, I was very on edge about how the daycare look. Like most daycares you see kids and a preschool setting and happy faces when you walk in. This daycare! I got none of this. I saw closed doors and a tall reception desk that I couldn’t see over. I didn’t get good vibes at all and the lady at the front desk was not welcoming and seemed already frustrated and she had a bad odor. Not to mention when I saw the owner she was wearing a short skirt showing a lubricated tattoo on her leg, I thought that was very unprofessional and displeasing. I am glad I saw these reviews now I don’t feel I was misjudging the situation. I will not be putting my child here.
