RBC Royal Bank

I believe my tellers name was Sarah. I could be wrong, she was dressed as a pumpkin for Halloween today at the downtown Brantford location. She was the kindest, most helpful teller I’ve ever come across.nI had some potentially fraudulent transactions on my account and she took the time to go through everything to help make it right. I was honestly considering closing my account at RBC and she definitely changed my mind. She is definitely an asset to the company. Also, while I was there a customer was being irate and she excused herself and tried to diffuse the situation. She needs a raise!!!

Been using this location since moving here 8 years ago.nWe have not been provided, or offered, any investment support.nCustomer service is terrible.nNever a smiling face in the bank.nLeaving for BMO - already received more investment and quality customer service than ever given here.

Thank you to the woman teller, that helped me today with the fraud purchase on my visa. The stress you relived me by figuring it out. Making calls on my behalf is appreciated more then you know thank you for going beyond.

They never smile in this bank. I go in happy and come out feeling down. What a gloomy environment! RBC is known for poor customer service at the bank level and worse service at the Client Care Centre and above. Complaints go nowhere. Issues continue. Nothing changes. In reading other reviews, I see many 1-star reviews and customers saying they should leave. I'm in absolute agreement - leave this bank. Try BMO. Customer Service is excellent. They answer their phones. Investment advice is top notch. Moving banks is simple with a couple simple steps, it's done. Transferring bill payments, automatic deposits and withdrawals is simple and seamless. Make the move and enjoy the warm, welcoming, smiling faces of customer service and financial care that a banking institution has to offer. BMO have empathy and care about their clients. RBC is not a highly rated bank in Canada due to the poor customer service and customer care. That's a fact!

After them deleting my initial review, here we are again, please do yourself the favour and don’t use this bank. We were 21 business days to complete a PRE APPROVED LOAN. We literally had to provide every single document , sometimes twice literally. Staff gave every excuse in the book on why it’s taking so long. Ended up taking my business else where and got approved same day another major bank. Switched my business account over to another established company after me using RBC for 10 years. Embarrassing.
