My experience with the Gibsons branch is only positive. All the staff members are friendly and helpful, and the manager is hands on (amazing these days) when I have an above and beyond problem. I love that. This is a great branch. We're lucky to have it.

Consistently receive exceptional service at the Gibsons branch, the staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The branch has a very good friendly feeling when you walk in, the staff greet me by my name. Last time I was in the manager helped me, she was so helpful & personable. So glad it's my bank!!

Worst customer service experience ever. They seriously need to learn a thing or two from the Sechelt branch(which is by far the best customer service I've received from a bank!). The Gibsons location is consistently rude and unhelpful. The first time I went there, no one greeted me. The lady who helped me did not say hello or even smile, she just stared at me and then asked what I wanted. I smiled, explained that I wished to take out the money from my TFSA, and she proceeded to show me how to do it myself online(without asking if I wanted to be shown). So what is her job for if not to help customers? I then asked her if I took all the money out, whether the automatic withdrawal to the account would be affected. She said no. The next month I received a letter saying I'd closed my TFSA. Which also in turn cancelled my multi-product rebate - making my account cost more! Ugh. Another time I went in, I watched the same lady be immensely rude to a nice old man. Both times she conveniently wasn't wearing a name tag, or it wasn't visible. I've still never been greeted there, and only about half the staff smile. I regretfully referred my friend to RBC (prior to using this location), and she has had consistently bad experiences with this branch too. I am just about ready to take my money elsewhere.

A serious issue came about as a result of lack of communication came from this branch, costing me $930.00. The bank manager did not pick up the phone at any time (8 calls during business hours - phone just rang) and did not return messages left. As I live in Ontario I wasn't able to walk in and speak to her directly, and I was forced to speak with a generic customer service line out of a call centre after two weeks of trying to rectify remotely. 20 years with RBC and now I am leaving due to lack of care and concern from the manager of this branch. The overall experience of being ignored was brutal.
