RBC Royal Bank

I went to the branch with a Power of Attorney for my mother, and they would not even look at it. My mother is 100 YOA, and as such she is not very mobile and I often have to assist her with daily activities including banking.nIn order to make this a smoother process my mother and I went to and had a POA drafted up. I then went to the bank with it in hand, and they stated it is not valid as it was an Enduring POA. They stated those are only for a person who is no longer mentally capable or infirm. They did not even bother to look at the document which clearly defines that it is fully effective upon her signing it.nI guess they define legal documents as well. It is very frustrating to have to take time off work to help your mother , to have them rejecting a legal document without even looking at it. On top of it the male employee basically sneered at me when he said its not valid and that he did not have time to even look at it.nnAnother issue, how does a person talk to a branch employee if they are not a customer??????

The staff was incredibly friendly, especially the Filipino and Filipina employees sorry I didn’t get their names who assisted me with my concerns. I went in simply to deposit a check, but they went above and beyond by offering helpful advice on the best banking options for my needs. Their attention to detail and willingness to provide extra assistance truly impressed me. This occurred on 10-19 at 9:30 am.

I have been a RBC client almost for 20 years. I never hear anyone says I am rude but todayApril 13 2024. 09:16am at the crest wood branch. I waited patiently in-line. When it was my turn. I told the teller girl I think she is an Indianwhat I want to do. I was in hurry because I keep all the dumb kids in the car.after she helped me to pay off my credit cards , she still keep asking me to put my rest to my chequing account.i told her I want to put the rest into my credit card! After few rounds repeating conversations,Then she said I was rude, she needed to grab her manager. After the manager explained that I can’t put exceed money in the credit card, I know why she keep asking me to put it to my chequing account.anywhere I will never go to this Indian girl .if I see her, I will pass. Waste my time and feel sick with her!

Neil was extremely nice and fast. He went an extra mile to help with all my deposits on the last day of the year. Thank you Neil and Happy New Year!

I had a phone appointment booked with Sylvia this morning at 9.30am..Im still waiting for the call!! I have a life too and don't need to sit around waiting for the call. I finally got my request taken care of by the centralized number. I worked for RBC for 40 years and it saddens me how the service has declined.
