After 15 years as an RBC Avion card holder in business and personal we are forced to leave. RBC is unable to resolve missing Avion points, we are left in a negative balance everytime we pay our statement as the bill payment is treated like a merchant refund. Though staff acknowledge this shouldn't be happening, the problem continues after 18 months in the escalations department aka back office. Points have monetary value and this amounts to theft by RBC Avion. In addition, their business partners for insurance have changed recently. Allianz Global Insurance hung up on us, told us incorrect information i.e., a letter of confirmation of coverage was not possible and we needed to buy more insurance, gave call backs in the middle of the night and left no contact information. We were left on hold for one hour before being automatically disconnected only to try again and again. This is a Final straw RBC Avion. Worst travel credit card. No benefits given and they have breached the terms of our contract.
Would leave negative stars if possible. I haven’t stepped foot in this bank in years, and I would have left ages ago had I known they treat their customers so poorly. I suppose I shouldn’t label everyone, the younger staff on either side of me seemed to be pleasant and helpful. Cathy was incredibly rude and aggressive. Started right from the moment I walked in and couldn’t muster a hi or hello. Got worse as she started rolling her eyes, throwing her hands in the air and talking to me like I offended her family member. When I asked to deal with someone else, she told me no. I was just trying to pay a bill with an associated RBC card. I still have no idea at what point she thought it was necessary to behave so terribly. My head still feels like it’s spinning from this unbelievable interaction in a place of “customer service”.
I have just received the best best help from customer service !
What is the point of having atms if you are just going to lock your customers out of using them after hours? How is one suppose to deposit money before payments come out of there account the following day?
Older management are terribly rude. Younger staff seem friendly and helpful. You can just sense the toxic work environment emanating from the old gals. If you’re in line, try and avoid the old Karen haircut crusty eyebrow piercing looking people.
