"The Raupp Museum is dedicated to preserving Buffalo Grove’s heritage and sharing the community’s history with everyone. The Museum features two permanent gallery spaces dedicated to exploring the history of Buffalo Grove, along with several changing exhibit spaces. Visitors have the opportunity to sit on the porch of an 1890s farmhouse, milk the Museum’s replica dairy cow, try a typewriter, and peek into an old-fashioned general store. If you are curious to know about the history of Buffalo Grove, this would be a great place to visit! It showcases the social history of Buffalo Grove from 1830s. The nice lady at the front desk was so kind and provided the little one with a scavenger hunt! The sound of telegraph & the steam engine and how a type writer and a rotary phone works were some of the interesting things the kiddo could experience!
Fun and informative little historical museum here in Buffalo Grove. Grandkids had fun doing the scavenger hunt and making lanterns.
Great little free! museum featuring local history... one exhibit covers the area's development starting with the Native Americans, then farming, then recent history as a suburb. Another exhibit is in the Streets of Yesteryear style with a general store and train depot you can walk through. Fun for the kids, and parents or grandparents can pick up a thing or two or reminisce with the kids.
This is my first time visiting and was pleasantly surprised how nice it was. The staff were very friendly and informative and no admission required. This place is a hidden gem right in a residential neighborhood.Visited onWeekdayWait time1 hr+Reservation recommendedNot surePrice for adult entryFree

Well organized museum . Kids will love those games
This is a small, local museum with a knowledgeable volunteer staff but short hours. It's a great place to learn about the history of the area and pioneers in general. Plan on an hour or less to see everything.
Nice little place hidden away in suburban area. Not easy to spot unless one seeks it out or stumbles upon it. Place is small but has good historical artifacts and gives idea on how the area had transformed. They also have some nice vintage collections that may appeal to curious ones.
Fantastic place if you would like to learn about history of Buffalo Grove. Highest quality displays and arrangements of exhibits. An hour well spent!
I really enjoyed the well thought out exhibits on the development of Buffalo Grove. Fascinating history on the development of suburbs.
