If you’re driving too quickly you might not spot this hidden gem. I can’t believe I’ve lived in the area for as long as I have and this restaurant was new to me. Located in Acton, MA, it offers a very unique feel where comfort fusions amazingly with the traditional. Although I do not know much about the history of the location of Rapscallion, you notice that they kept the “homey” feel of the original house. The architecture is there and they make great use of it offering private rooms for your party. We were in a large group on a Thursday evening, without a reservation, and we’re able to be accommodated, but I’d suggest you call in advance and ask about having a reservation. The set up indoors was perfect! Service was awesome! Our group tried and shared a variety of apps and main dishes and ALL the food was absolutely delicious! I know this may be seasonal, but if you can try the lobster grilled cheese, please do! I’ve never had anything like it before, and the truffle Brussels sprouts melt in your mouth. I certainly plan to go back in different seasons to try new things and hope our favorites remain available.

My first time here and it was delightful. Last night we snuck out of the house and came here. We had the Sangria and Belgian Ale both were brilliant. I want to shout out the Korean BBQ short rib grill cheese it was amazing. The burger was also excellent. Top marks. 12/26 Just went again and such yummy food and drink. A great little find.

A++++ Amazing service, food, atmosphere, friendly staff, prices, location and layout. Wings are delicious, great crunch, lots of flavor and spice. 6-7 per $13 which is good value these days. Poutine was plentiful and delicious. We were able to split amounts 3 people and it be enough. The flatbread pizzas were delightful, with a wide variety. The Fig and Prosciutto was worth every cent. The Marc was was second best. Parking is right out front. They have a large out seating area when it gets warmer. The beer is all brewed in house. I tried the Harvard Lager and the Honey Ale. Would certainly recommend both. Will def come back to try more items in the menu. While this is a far trek from Boston, it’s def worth the visit if you are in Acton.

We ordered takeout for the first time and had the following: Fish and chips: rock hard/overcooked Steak Tips: Cooked well but only 4 tips for $28! Pulled pork sandwich: Best thing we had, solid sandwich Crab cake sandwich: Fine Side of asparagus for $7 included 8 pieces of asparagus... 6 pack of honey beer was solid. Overall the meal was definitely not worth the price.

Came here hoping for a nice dinner. When we were first seated, the nightmare began. There was some delicious leftover lip stick waiting for us on the water glasses. The table was cheap and wobbly. Then, the wine also had some lip stick on it. We ended up drinking the wine from the other side in fear of it being spit in if it was returned. We then received our very bland food. One of the waiters threw the food on the table, causing some of our dinner to land on my lap. The mack & cheese was very meh, hardly any flavor. The steak the worst crime scene. It had tendon in it, was very bland, practically moving, and extremely chewy. The people at the restaurant still charged us for the steak which my daughter barely touched because it was so inedible. She’s planning on cooking it once we get home. We were only offered some chips to take home for our suffering. Never coming here again. My family and I regret our life choices.

Found this place on our way from Walden Pond and so glad we did. The service, drinks and food were all impeccable. Even the hospitality shown to our dogs was exceptional. Will definitely be stopping by here again on our next trip to the area.

Came here based on a recommendation and was not disappointed. We had the steak tips and the the chimichurri steak. Sat at the bar and had a pleasant conversation with the bartender. 10/10 would recommend.

Comfort food & staff/regulars who truly make you comfortable! Matt & I had wanted to try Rapscallion for awhile timing was off! Finally made it March 2022 a little too chilly for the outdoor seating. Inside was warm cozy & packed for a Friday afternoon! They greeted us immediately & found a cute high top where we still felt at the bar as we conversed with the regulars. The crab cakes were perfectly browned yet moist on the inside. The wings were crispy & juicy! Multiple sauces that come on the side which I really appreciate as I like to dip & Matt likes to douse! I believe they had about 5 options we stuck with traditional buffalo. Appetizer were so great so we moved on to sandwiches. Matt had the Korean barbecue short rib grill cheese I had just a bite but it was melt in your mouth I had the Turkey Panini bacon extra crispy with & extra side of the aoli which had just the right kick! Fingerling potatoes in lots of butter! Yum yum yum! OMG! So good!!! We can not wait to go back& hopefully weather permitting enjoy the outdoor seating as well! Highly recommend!!!

Great customer service! I originally made reservations for 7 people but then wanted to change it to 15 people a day later. They were so accommodating and did not seem bothered at all by my request. We had four children and a baby in our party - our waitress was so accommodating and attentive. At the end of the meal, our waitress whispered in my ear to ask if the kids can have dessert. That was SO sweet of her to do that - in case the kids weren’t allowed to have dessert, she wanted to ask me discreetly. Wonderful dining experience!

We love this restaurant! Delicious beer, extensive and yummy menu, super friendly staff. And they welcome dogs in the beautiful patio. The staff was really great with our dog, brought him water and checked on him too. One time our car battery died and the manager brought his car over to give us a jump. They really appreciate their patrons. We’ve been several times; it’s one of our favorites!
