Story

The Ranchmen's Club is Calgary's oldest and most prestigious private club. It was founded in 1891 by cattlemen and over the years played an important role in the development of the city and the province. Today's large membership of men and women is comprised of senior corporate executives, business owners, engineers, stock brokers, chartered accountants, bankers, lawyers and judges, in addition to the third and fourth generations of the Club's founding ranchers.

Attended a morning meeting. The opulence of the place is quite striking. It smells of the "old boys club" atmosphere from years past.
It's always a great pleasure to have a meal at the Ranchmen's Club. From the aged cheddar cheese with baguettes, to the highest quality cuisine available in Calgary. My beef fillet was excellent, cooked and seasoned to perfection. Wonderful soup and dessert as well.
