I want to move to hood river just so I can eat here. HR burger is 1/2 lb, get the one with bacon and cheese. Crinkle cut fries, awesome. Chocolate shake was perfect. Nice booths (although I got my ordet to go).
Somehow never have been here despite 30 years of Mt Hood adventures. Nice service and pretty quick too. So happy I found it, can't wait to go back.

Best food in town. Fish and chips are great and they have fun variety in their menu

Pros:
-Good food for the price. You can tell they use decent ingredients, but what makes it shine is that my entire plate (and I am very picky) was cooked perfectly. I have a healthy apatite and left full for $10.00 (plus a tip, because even though it's between fast food and a diner and you somewhat serve yourself, like I said the staff is nice. )
-Great service and friendly staff. (Worth mentioning again)
-Short wait to plate
Cons:
- Windows, including partition windows inside were in desperate need of cleaning.
-felt lucky to be a man visiting the restroom. Toilet was disgusting but I just used the urinal. The garbage can next to the sink had been emptied recently, but had no liner and people had obviously spit in it.
The diner charm of the otherwise nice place was diminished by lack of regular deep cleaning.
I do not live nearby, but I might swing by again if I pass through sometime.

Fast service. The baby burgers are cheap ($$) but the other prices are a bit high. They have accommodate for the cheap burgers though so I get it. Their burgers are yummy though!

The place was very clean and the decor reminds me of the sixties. The menu is classic buger restraunt with baskets of krinkle cut fries or crosscut style. My wife and I had the Baby Milo that came with letuce real bacon and cheese. The letuce is shreded. We perfer leaf letuce. The dressing was something from the past where mayo and catsup are mixed together for a light pink colored sauce. We also had a small basket of krinkle cut fries which was enough for us to share. The service is friendly and fast. We went insde ordered at tbe counter and then sat in a booth. There is plenty of seating. The food was brought to our table and the servers checked back to see if there was anything else we needed. Also they serve breakfast until 11. The weather was clear and hot. It was 90 degrees outside but it was really nice and cool inside. Great AC. The bathrooms are clean but this day the mens room was out of soap. We would recommend it if you would like good old basic American food.
