After a long day exploring the stunning and chilly! views around Banff, we were craving something deeply comforting. Arashi Ramen was the perfect answer.nnWe both went for the Signature Arashi Ramen, and it did not disappoint. The star was absolutely the broth—it’s this rich, complex, and deeply savory tonkotsu that feels like it’s been simmered for days. It had so much flavor without being overly salty. The noodles had a great chew, and the chashu pork was melt-in-your-mouth tender, with a slight sweetness from its glaze.nnWhat really made the experience, though, was the atmosphere. The space is sleek and warm, and the staff were genuinely friendly and efficient. Our server saw us puzzling over the menu and offered a perfect, simple explanation that sealed our choice.nnIt’s more than just a meal; it’s the exact kind of nourishing, satisfying bowl you dream about after being in the mountain air. We left warmed up from the inside out, already planning what to try on our next visit. A definite must-stop in Banff
Good portion size and decent taste. I have it a 4 stars only because the tofu add on to my ramen had a weird taste like it’s spoiled or not fresh…nnI ordered the arashi signature ramen, and it’s VERY spicy, the broth especially. The service was great and attentive despite being so busy. There’s quite a bit of a wait time since it’s fully packed.
Best Japanese Ramen on My JourneynnI traveled all the way from Winnipeg to Vancouver, nand this is hands down the best Japanese ramen I’ve had along the way.nnThe broth is unbelievably rich —nthere’s simply nothing to complain about.nThe meat is cooked perfectly, nwith zero gaminess, just pure flavor.nThe noodles are springy, chewy, and full of life.nnThe service?nFlawless.nnAnd in a tourist hotspot like Banff, nthe prices are surprisingly affordable —nhonest food, honest value.nnThe place is small, nbut absolutely worth coming back to again and again.nnPlease, please open a chain someday.nI already miss your flavors so much nn — Artemis
Very good ramen. The portions are a bit on the small size if you are very hungry, but the price is also small. Great option in Banff if you are craving something asian. It is a tucked upstairs in a gallery. A bit hard to find, but worth it. The plum wine was a nice surprise: very sweet and refreshing. We saw a large queue after we left, so be prepared to wait at the most popular times.
Easily the best ramen I’ve eaten since leaving Japan I lived there for three years. The place is run by friendly and passionate Japanese folks. Food is fabulous and well worth a short wait they do a wonderful job managing the queue. Highly recommend!
