It was kind of hard to find this delicious restaurant but worth the search! I ordered take out and it was delicious. I got rice noodles to be gluten free. The employee helping me recommended the Arashi bowl. I thought it was rich in flavor. I would definitely go back to this place. They are quick and their to go packaging is awesome. You do have to pay for chopsticks which I thought was kind of weird. But if you are in Banff and want low-key and something that won’t break the bank, GO HERE.
Came here for a quick lunch but saw a long queue. We were told that the waiting time was 1 hour! We decided to wait for 5-10 minutes to see how we feel. As 2 groups of 4 left the queue, so seemed like we didn’t need to wait that long, so we stayed in the queue. After 40 minutes, we got seated. We both ordered the ARASHI, but turned out we were served with the TAN -TAN instead. The staff apologized and offered to give us back the toppings as she said the soup base was the same. We decided to just try the TAN-TAN and we were happy about it after tasting. The soup base was very creamy and smooth. It went very well with the noodles. We enjoyed our lunch though a bit of the wait. Be aware that as there are only 20 seats available in this restaurant, so it’s always a queue. But worth waiting. Recommend!
Very tiny place with some amazing food! Went with some high expectations and lived up to the hype for sure. I had the vegan Ramen bowl with tofu and summer salad! Great food and hospitality. There's a little bit of wait time, but I placed my order in advance, so it wasn't much longer before I was seated and served. Even the intentional walls are interesting to look at. Would definitely recommend it.
Me and my friends stopped in tonight for a quick bite to eat before heading back to Calgary and I will say this is one of best ramen bowls I’ve had! It was very flavourful and a good sized portion for the price! I will definitely come back to this spot just for this Tonkotsu! The restaurant was a bit harder to find but we finally found it in the upper floor of the Sundance plaza. It is a pretty tiny dine in area however but I didn’t mind as the food and the service was wonderful! We only waited around 5 minutes for our dishes and got seated instantly Weekdays are so much less busy I 10/10 recommend coming here and I will be coming back with my friends just for this ramen! Thanks!
The ramen at this place was phenomenal! The broth was so rich and flavour. It seemed very authentic, the staff were all Japanese.nnMy only complaint is we waited about 45 minutes for our ramen, thinking it would be something fast. It was around noon on Sunday in November and not at all busy so we didn’t really understand why it was slow. When we left there were about 20-30 people waiting to get in to the very small restaurant, and I felt bad thinking they’d be there all day.
