This is a beautiful and awe inspiring walk. We did the A loop as the B loop was closed. The trail we walked on was all laid out with a beautiful wooden boardwalk with steps up and down the hills. So there are no muddy trails and it is an easy walk. The old growth forest is incredibly lush and you could see the new growth sprouting from fallen, old trees that had decayed and allowed the forest cycle to continue. Breath taking scenery!
We did both trails and thought they were both beautiful! Super well developed & maintained - great job to all the people who have worked on these trails!! Great way to see so many beautiful, big trees and breath in all that forest air!
Two easy loops with a bit over 1km each. Almost completely on wooden paths. Impressive rainforest definitely worth stopping! Parking is 21$ for a day pass shortest option and two adults. Guess that's needed with all the tourists in summer? Playground: No playground. Restrooms: Toilets at the trailhead.
It’s a must!!! I have a broken leg with rod in it and I am on the heavier side. I was able to do it. It took us 40 min to do the loop B and it was just amazing. Some wood panels were loose, so be careful. So many stairs, but manageable. I highly recommend it. It’s just so nice to experience this from the heart of it. Will definitely go back and take my friends.
Fantastic coastal rainforest walk. A little steep in places so take care. Especially if a bit unsteady on your feet. Also worth noting that there are two trails. Trail A is located across the road from the car park. Trail B is located at the farthest end of the car park.
Fantastic walk for all ages! Great source of oxygen. I was taken back by the sizes of the trees, I can only imagine how old they are. Be aware the pathway is narrow and has a decent amount of steps. If your level of fitness isn't great and you visit on a busy day you may have to move aside for some people.
Go on this trail just to see the board walk. It's a work of engineering. The people who built it were superb. The trail was way more exciting than I thought. My wife made me go. Well worth it!
Definitely worth doing if you’re visiting Tofino. We took our time on both trails, which made the stairs not seem like a burden on our way back up. Trail A took us about 35 minutes and Trail B 40 minutes, again walking pretty slow, and just over 1km for each trail.
Breathtaking walk. There are two 1 KM Loops. Check out both. It is incredible to see how they’ve built such a sturdy and stable wooden boardwalk-like pathway throughout the rainforest. Photos can’t even capture the beauty of this trail.
love the both trails, it's amazing. caution, trail A is a little easier for kids, trail B north of the highway, it's a harder as there are more stairs.
