The 3 stars is because of The Gateway Newstand. It's the store next to the theater. It's the only place in this mall to get lottery tickets and the person that works there is very unfriendly. Also, I won on my tickets and purchased more with the winnings. I owed $1 in the end and I gave him $20. He refused to take it, stating he didn't have change for $20. IT'S A STORE!! AND YOU DON'T HAVE CHANGE FOR $20!!! He wanted me to use a credit card. I wasn't about to use my credit card for $1. Especially with the interest. And honestly, what if I just wanted the money from the winning?? He couldn't give it to me. He made the whole thing embarrassing and uncomfortable. Luckily, I found $1 in my pockets. Everything thing else in this mall is great. The theater is great. The game center is awesome. The Food Court is great too. And Dollarama and Country Style is good. All of them have very friendly people and great service.
Watch out for parking costs. Spent 4 hours at the mall, arcade, movie theater then shopped the bin store. Since the bin store was our final stop, we scanned our ticket there. However the park machine wanted us to pay 15$ to exit, we called assistance to ask why since the last time we went to theatre, it was free parking and we'd assume this was always the case for paying customers. They told us the bin store scan only gives us a short park time, so we went back to the movie theater to scan our tickets there since we had been there previously, we quickly returned and when we tried to exit it had increased to 21$ rather than decreased, we tried to call assistance only for them to ignore our call, they eventually answered, were disrespectful and hung up, the machine then stopped working, we couldn't pay to get out and with traffic we couldn't back out, when it finally worked again, the total to exit had increased to 24$.. for 4 hours of spending over 250$ Our tickets read 4h32m but well over 30 minutes was dealt with parking. While we would love to support the downtown businesses in this mall, we likely won't return. Parking should be free for paying customers!nnWhat's worse is we are a large family requiring 2 vehicles so our parking ticket costs actually totalled 48$.
Great theatre, nice market on Saturdays, food court has decent options. It’s a good spot to take the kids to a movie or make an adventure out of just going to dollarama. The parking lot is covered which is nice, lots of security and the rift raft is quickly ushered out of the mall. Over all nice place I hope more stores open here
A few good fast food inside, awesome cinema with lazy boyz that recline its hella comfy!, a small corner store for protein bars and snacks, eye doctor also available inside, few unique little stores to check out and the gym! Gym is 10$/mo, auper affordable, new machines inside. Not too busy either! Love the gym!
I don’t understand how anyone is ok with this disaster of a building. Was forced to go for a bone density test on 2nd floor. No explanation or directions of how to get there. Parked where I thought would be ok and used my cane instead of my preferred walker. It’s like a bowling alley up there. 3 sets of stairs to get there. Does the city of Sudbury not care of handicapped people. Is there no laws to govern that in our city. Hey instead of addressing the problems downtown, let’s just spend a load of money and build an arena where seniors have no access or have to pay to get there.
